I wondered...since we hadn't heard from him. :(

My life has been in turmoil since the middle of June. Someone took my BIL to emergency on the 14th of June. He called MrJust and told him that he had an infection and they were giving him antibiotics. Had asked MrJust if he would be around on Friday because he would probably be released. Friday, he said they were keeping him another day and he might be released on Saturday. Friday, MrJust went to visit him and said he looked good.
We went to dinner Saturday night; right after we got home, the nephew called and said his dad's heart had stopped. They resuscitated him but he was comatose because of lack of oxygen. They had him on a ventilator while they ran tests for brain activity. The tests showed very little brain activity.After 5 days his children asked that the ventilator be removed. I helped the children with the funeral arrangements and notified out of town relatives. Three of MrJust's sister's sons came to Fresno ... from San Diego, Anaheim and Austin, TX. They stayed at our house.
I have been busy trying to help Louie's children make decisions regarding the 20 acres. It will be sold. I didn't even turn my PC on for several days.
I talked to Dubya's son yesterday and learned that Dubya had passed away in June. I sent our condolences and told him that Amy's Place would be praying for him and his family.
Now for some good news. :)
Had doctor appts today so before coming home, we stopped to buy Marissa some new shoes. There was a lone little duckling in the parking lot. No Mom and no siblings. Marissa finally caught it. She put him in a shoe box until we got home. We put him in a larger cardboard box and tried to feed him wet bread. We will have to find more permanent quarters tomorrow. He will sleep in the house tonight. We can't put him out with Mr Mittens. We also need to go to the feed store tomorrow ... maybe they will have a cage. If not, we will have to build a cage this weekend. No rest for the wicked. LOL
We will be on vacation so they will do more sight-seeing and plan to visit us when we get home. It will be wonderful to see them ... not sure how many days they plan to be here. :)

Amy, I know what you mean about busy summers. I “thought” I would have time to get some downtime not having the baby. But gee, it’s been busier than before school let out. We just finished up camp meeting, and you know what that’s like. I thought of you and Lori at the Sunday picnic. Wish you could have been there.
Sorry to hear of the loss of your BIL. Give Mr. Just my condolences and prayers.

So Sorry to hear about Dubya. He always had a joke, a kind word, or an inspirational message. May he rest in the arms of his beloved Savior.
OMG, I have been thinking about him so often. Sad News but we know where he is. Love you Dubya, rest easily with Jesus my FRiend.

Well you have your hands full Amy. Attend to business as you have been doing, we will hold down the fort. Summer is always slow here on threads anyway. Life gets in the way sometimes. I am very sad about Dubya.
