I think it is possible she had no idea just how bad it is.
Some of the stuff is pretty far out there.

Katie fired the first shot. She could have handled this through the Scientology process but she chose not to. She is going to pay a price for it...but it sounds like she is ready.
I believe she was raised Catholic. I hope she'll find a good priest who can counsel her.
