Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has raised $4.6 million since the Supreme Court ruled that President Obama's healthcare law is constitutional.
Romney started raising funds immediately after the decision, and in a message to supporters Friday morning his campaign spokeswoman said he had raised $4.6 million from 47,000 donations.
This morning, the Romney campaign had raised $4.3 million less than 24 hours since the court's ruling.
"As of this morning, we have raised $4.3 million with 43,000 donations online," spokeswoman Andrea Saul said early Friday.
"The Supreme Court may have found ObamaCare constitutional, but it remains just as disastrous for job creators as the day the law was passed. ObamaCare is a job killer it raises taxes, cuts Medicare and puts government between patients and their doctors," Saul added.
Romney responded to the ruling by renewing his pledge to repeal the Affordable Care Act, known as "ObamaCare."
He wrote in a fundraising email to supporters on Thursday: "Today, the Supreme Court upheld ObamaCare. But regardless of what the court said about the constitutionality of the law, ObamaCare is bad medicine, it is bad policy, and when Im president, the bad news of ObamaCare will be over."
The Supreme Court's ruling was a clear win for President Obama, who counts the healthcare bill as a signature achievement of his first term. But Romney and other Republicans made clear they would not give up the fight to repeal what they call a government takeover of healthcare. Early signs indicate the ruling also stirred up voters who could be active in the November election.
Romney's campaign had raised $2.5 million by 1:33 p.m. Thursday.
I did the math. It comes out to an average contribution of
$97.87
Lord how bad is it when we have to choose between a liberal and a NAZI for POTUS.

I think the time to keep trashing Romney has past. We now have one chance left to get rid of commiecare and Romney as POTUS and a Republican congress is it. Romney was/isn’t my favored choice, but, that’s who we have. The man has pledged to sign the repeal of the law if he’s elected. For now, I’ll take him at his word, I think we all should at this point.
Glad he did so well. He’d better get to spending it on some ads to counter whatever Obama is putting out there, because he’s falling hard in the polls. Not one national survey has him ahead anymore.
Great!
This has to scare Obama and Democrats
I just gave Romney another $100 and told him to thank Chief Justice John Roberts.
Calling a spade a spade is trashing him?
I am not trashing him, but calling as it is. He is left of center..OK then, he is a moderate liberal...like Nixon was. And we all know what came out of the Nixon administration. The EPA comes to mind.
But I will take him. Because there is no viable alternative. Sadly, it all boils down to MONEY.
The election is in the congress.
I don’t mind choosing Romney over Obama. I just wish I didn’t have to depend on the author of Romney Care as our last hope for ending Obamacare. It’s like depending on a sleazeball lawyer to keep you out of Death Row.
but then I went ahead and made a donation...
to make myself fell better, I also sent some to Kristi Noem....
Just Wow!!!
Agree! Divided we fall.
Would it be out of bounds to use the word “fool” in this post? So, you are saying Romney’s friends of stature have influenced the court. They arranged the ruling. We are now to be angry and infuse the Romney campaign with money, in order to overthrow the man/child pantload Soetoro. I get it. You may perhaps be spending too much time reading posts and thinking. Go out for a walk.

A resounding sweep, a repudiation of the liars in Congress will send a message to the statists. Even Mittens will take note.
“I think the time to keep trashing Romney has past.”
Yeah, right.
Obama as president with a GOP House and Senate is by far less worse than a slightly less progressive version of Obama (i.e., Romney) at the helm with a GOP House and Senate to rubber-stamp every publicity seeking policy Mittens attempts to implement to “protect” the GOP brand. A GOP congress will at least fight any similar legislative attempts made by Obama.
I won’t send Obama money or vote for him, but I’m telling everyone I know that an Obama win with the GOP controlling the purse strings will do less damage to our nation than an unrestricted leftist masquerading as a conservative like Romeny.
If Obama wins, he’ll get a dem House and Senate. It’s a package deal.
My wallet remained shut.
