Vanity: Pass A Bill That Bans Taxation Of Peoples Inactivity

Just had a thought on how Obamacare could be stopped. Not to mention all future taxation of a persons inactivity would be stopped. Simply author a bill that states "The federal government CAN NOT tax individuals for inactivity. Nor can they tax an individual for not buying a good or service."

I know this will not happen because they bill would have to be 1000 pages long and full of other worthless things. But essentially would this work? Wouldn't this slam the door on what was opened today the taxation of an individual for inactivity?

If we taxed inactivity, only democrats would pay taxes.

I LIKE it.

How about a bill that does not tax any choice a person makes whether it is an activity or inactivity. Better yet how about a flat tax that treats everyone (meaning each and every individual) equally. Then there will be less of a chance for slavery.

Good idea, but you are thinking too small.

Make it a Constitutional Amendment.

“Congress shall make no law levying taxes, fees, assessments, or any other means of revenue, upon the inactivity of the People.”

or

“The inactivity of the People shall not be subject to any tax, fee, assessment, or any other means of revenue”.

“The inactivity of the People shall not be subject to any tax, fee, assessment, or any other means of revenue”.

"...until such a time as the Supreme Court reinterprets this amendment to say otherwise."

"Simply author a bill that states"

Pointless if a SCOTUS judge can legislate from the bench in line with the flagrant example we saw today where he actually changed the bill to fit in with his agenda. Somebody today noted that tax bills MUST originate in the House and this bill came from the Senate - is this true and where can we appeal? /sarc

I don’t think anything can be done unless the right has more control other than the presidency, of they would do anything at all.

Now that I will be paying for other people’s health care, I think I have a right to a say in how my money is spent. They’ve been doing it to me for a long time, taxing cigarettes...they cost “society”, right?

So, here are my ideas for starters:

People who are more than 20% overweight must get counseling (mandatory) and will receive an appropriate amount of time to get into shape.

People who are more than 40% overweight, or who don’t comply with the above, will be immediately brought into treatment centers and kept there until they return to an appropriate weight. There will be fines for taking too long to get back into shape.

I will make an exemption for pregnancy, so women will be permitted six months to return to their original weight. This is for their own good. Really.

800 numbers will be provided for “fat tips”. Obesity is costing society a lot of money, and everyone must help each other in this battle!

People in non-physically demanding jobs get out of shape and require extra medical care. Exercise will be mandatory for those people. Children need to get out of the house and play like they once did (but use sunscreen, please!). No more Xboxes, etc.

There is simply no good reason to drink. This causes a lot of harm to society besides the physical damage to human bodies. Therefore, hard liquor is right out. Wine will be very heavily taxed. Very few will be able to afford to get drunk. Maybe records will be kept, like those “boosters” that they sell at the gas station and the drug store.

All “junk foods” are immediately banned; this includes most packaged foods developed since 1955. This will have the additional benefit of considerable savings for families. If you can’t buy it, you can’t eat it!

People who don’t wear seat belts or don’t wear appropriate protective clothing on motorcycles will not be treated with any taxpayer money; if they don’t survive, they can be used for “parts” to help the rest of us. I feel the same way for people who do crazy stuff on ATV’s. Of course, with drinking essentially banned, that problem will probably be sharply reduced. Skydiving, cliff-climbing, and so on - you are on your own. Most of us don’t do this, and we don’t want to pay for your fun, while others need medical care for problems that they didn’t bring on themselves.

Criminals involved in shooting or injuries caused during a crime will be required to pay for all medical treatment for all of their victims. If they can’t cover this entirely, they will lose their subsidized medical care and will forfeit their corpse for parts after their death.

I think that the above is entirely reasonable, based upon recent court decisions.

You hit on the most insidious part of government-run healthcare, now everything will be everybody’s business.

This is not going to be a very polite country once this is passed.

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) told Laura Ingraham tonight on The O’Reilly Factor that it will only take fifty plus one US Senators to repeal Obamacare.

Okay, let’s see what they’re made of.
Last chance for them to do what’s right
and if they don’t, they are OUT, no ifs ands or buts!

Pass a Constitutional amendment that bans all federal taxation except that explicitly permitted in the amendment, such as maybe income and gasoline taxes. Period.......

The bipartisan political/regulator class wouldn’t allow it, being the class that controls government and business (through regulations against competition). As we’ve seen, they screen all of the political candidates for political parties. Seeing the default process through to stop funding for them is probably the only way.

Slow your personal economic activities enough, and you won’t have to pay the stinking taxes except property, sales, fees, etc. Spend little enough, and you won’t even have to pay much in sales taxes. Do the Galt thing. Starve the B. while encouraging her to spend more, until she has no more debt to munch on.
