Bedford Flag, here...

With all due respect to those of you who served our country with honor and distinction, as soon as the USSC court decision came down, I went outside and turned my flag upside down.
Our country is lost.
The US Supreme Court just stepped outside its Constitutional boundaries and re-wrote a law again and handed Congress even MORE power over our daily lives.
The ObamaCare legislation as written did not contain the word "tax" anywhere. It used the words "penalties" and "fines" .. not "tax." In fact, Obama's own lawyers argued against it being a tax in front of the USSC!
That apparently didn't matter to Justice Roberts who sided with the liberals on the US Supreme Court who re-wrote the law to use the word "tax" and declared ObamaCare and the individual mandate CONSTITUTIONAL.
At this point, Congress can now tell us what to eat, what to buy (or not buy) and tell us if we do not eat what they tell us or buy what the tell us that we'll pay a "tax."
Do people realize the power the USSC just gave Congress and the IRS (a terrorist organization in and of itself?)
Don't want to comply with ObamaCare? We'll tax you. Don't pay the tax, the IRS will seize your assets to FORCE you to pay the tax and comply with the law.
That's what happened in our country today.
When in the blue hell is this country going to wake up?
My flag remains upside down until Obama is out of office and this law is REPEALED.
We have a high barrier to overcome this November folks. We have to take back the White House, the Senate and keep the Congress.
Then we have to force the Republicans to REPEAL this law.
Assume after it's REPEALED, there'll be lawsuits challenging the Constitutionality of the Repeal, which will again go to the USSC.
Are we prepared for this battle? Are YOU ready?
Better sign up to help your Republican Senator and Congressman get back in to office, and as much as I don't like it, it's time to "suck it up cupcake" and put Romney in the White House.
That's our only prayer at this point, because that's the only way to overturn this BAD court decision today.

No you are wrong. Perhaps you should also take to the airwaves...if you are an amatuer radio operator... and start sending out SOS.
Flying the flag upside down is a signal of a dire, immediate and life threatening emergency.
No matter how you feel this does not meet that criteria.
Did you complain...as I did...when people flew the flag upside down after the 2004 election?

It's not purely an emotional reason. The Obamacare ruling is, essentially, saying that the government can tax you for not doing/buying something. There fore they could tax you for, say, not owning an aircraft carrier. IE there is no restraint upon government at all, nor is there any penalty upon those who transgress the laws -- ok, so that's selective, but that only leads to more unjust acts.
A tyrant!? Nay there are more than just one.

Flying the flag upside down is a form of communication. Similar to the SOS signal I mentioned before or yelling fire in a crowded theater.

Here I disagree; it is not merely for political reasons. The pledge of allegiance explicitly states that the flag represents the Republic; the Republic is itself in dire distress as the mandate still exists and, in fact, now that it's a tax for something not bought there is little holding the Republic from becoming a dictatorship as more and more "items not used" become taxable: that is to say, the government may now tax even the things we choose not to support.
