Wow. The Col du Grand Colombier looks brutal. Even though they've done it before, it looms large tomorrow especially since they haven't done much climbing yet.
The first week is always full of terrible crashes and sad exits from the Tour. I am happy they are heading into the mountains. Now I can be a nervous wreck as the drunken spectators run along side the riders as they weave their way through the huge crowds.

Apparently this is the first visit in the TdF, luvvy.
There are steeper mountains on the Tour, but this has got to be one of the longest climbs.

It's really amazing they don't cause more accidents than they do. Didn't I hear someone say the big pileup that forced 13 riders out may have been caused by a spectator crossing the road?
