No excuse but I’d bet my life savings the same thing happened to Jerry when he was a kid. The punishment for child molestation should be life in prison because they reek havoc on our society.
I heard a lawyer guest on one of the news broadcasts say that a suicide watch would be basic protocol for the first 24 hours at least. He said this before the verdict was even announced, so I would guess that it’s standard procedure for a conviction such as this.
