Vice President Joe Biden speaking out against dating violence during a White House event on Thursday said that dating violence and sexual assault wont end until attitudes change and the perpetrator is treated like a pariah.
But the progress weve made so far isnt enough, Biden said. Young women still face the highest rates of dating violence, and nearly one in five college women will face sexual assault during her college career, he said.
Guys, these just arent statistics. Theyre people you know. Theyre your sister, the woman youre in class with that you like, people you grew up with, somebody elses daughter. Just come with me down to the hotline or walk into a violence shelter for women, the vice president said.
Biden was joined by Senior Adviser Valerie Jarrett and athletes to release a new public service announcement (PSA) that will air on television and the Internet this summer, with the message that dating violence is unacceptable.
Biden turned his attention to the professional athletes he shared the stage with. These guys are real men. Somebody walk in a locker room and say, Last night, man, I did the following
These guys are gonna either knock them on their a
. Theyre either, they are going to say something to them. And thats a big change. Thats a big change. Look, thats what this is all about, because one really is too many.

wow, she pulls his strings, too?
They can say that now, now that Ted Kennedy's dead.
As if those poor women haven't been traumatized enough.
I’m surprised that Bill Clinton didn’t do something about this social trajedy years ago. . . . /sarc
Strings? I think he only has one.
Let’s get conceal carry back on the table, Joe!
you're probably right. And a thin one at that.
Rapists are “Pariahs”? Here I thought it was a requirment to be either a Democratic sentaor or POTUS....
Hear that Bill....you are no longer invited to Obama Campaign fundraisers.
He’s advocating assault AND battery in an anti-violence speech.
I believe this is called vigilantism which the big media/democrat complex is currently against. Or not.
So, to coin a phrase, the veep is suggesting that women “stand their ground?”
But...but..in schools, they’re taught “non-conflict” solutions. This goes against everything the Progressives preaches...I just don’t understand/ sarc.
Since Biden is now advocating extra-judicial penalties for sexual assaults, how would he feel if some people broke Sandusky out of jail and hanged him?
——and nearly one in five college women will face sexual assault during her college career, he said.-—
And that goes rate goes higher if she participates in an Occupy protest.
The definition of sexual assault for those statistics is a joke. If a woman walks it a bar and a drunk says he like how she looks in her sweater she has been sexually assaulted.

Yes, it’s those horrible predatory men. Look for a new campaign from the idiot that has people in an online video confessing to the crime of being white. This time it will feature white men confessing to the crime of being males.
While I don’t believe these numbers, I can believe instances of sexual assault are up over my days in college in the 1960s.
For one thing, we girls did not sleep around, and we kept ourselves out of ambiguous situations in which someone might think we were “easy”. Public drunkenness was just not acceptable among women. Again, we did not want to look easy, and we did not want to let down our defenses. For the same reasons, we used the buddy system; in those days, it was unheard of for a respectable girl to go into or out of a bar alone.
You are a brute with paleolithic underpinnings!
Let justice be done and handled with care through the system.
