I noticed that too and figured this wierdo is in good company. Mock God, play with dead animals.

LOL! That seems as likely a “rationale” as any that you could come up with!

When I was a kid, only 40 years ago, it was an honor to be called an artist. The word connoted artistic talent When I was a kid, artist was codeword for "poofter"

Dali was IMHO an excellent artist and amazingly prolific. If you have never been to a full Dali exhibit you owe it to yourself.
Sure he pushed the envelope, but he had artistic talent.
Not to mention marketing talent.

Don’t think I’ll kitty ping this one, thanks. I’ve seen the video, it’s funny; I have no doubt the cat died a natural death after a happy life, but...damn.

There's something a tad perverse about a cat being forcibly reincarnated into a [whirly]bird but lol, ooops (shame). I would be interested in seeing the reaction from the cats on the ground!

I dunno - a cat suffering from cognitive dissonance can be an ugly thing.

That is a soaring tribute to his pet! When artist Bart Jansen’s cat died, a conventional burial and headstone did not seem like a sufficient memorial to his dead friend. Instead, the artist envisioned a more uplifting tribute worthy of a cat whose dreams flew with the eagles! He was meant to fly!
To all the art critics, you need to develop a sense of humor. Sure, it is tacky, but funny as hell (except to cows). The cat was already dead, so there is no harm using a pelt for some purpose. I wear leather shoes — that is no worse.

Dali was a great painter when he wanted to be. The rest of his schtick was marketing.

Whatever. I saw a fairly extensive exhibit of his in Atlanta last year and enjoyed it. He didn’t seem to take himself too seriously.

The only reason I clicked on this was to see if it was my husband’s old college room mate.

For an outside cat, that’s a natural death.

Doncha people wish someone would do that to you after you croak? It would certainly be a better fate than being a dead Lenin in a mausoleum, or being stuck inside a container on somebody’s mantle.
To: Revolting cat!
That would be an awesome use for my corpse, but you need much bigger propellers.
Selecting the correct pilot would be key to post mortem bliss. I would need a good friend to know exactly who my flying corpse should terrorize.

this could be the new Dept. of D.O.G. spy drone for watching those right wing extremist cat groups.
