Dali was IMHO an excellent artist and amazingly prolific. If you have never been to a full Dali exhibit you owe it to yourself.
Sure he pushed the envelope, but he had artistic talent.
Not to mention marketing talent.
Dali was a great painter when he wanted to be. The rest of his schtick was marketing.
