NHL ping
They say records don’t matter in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All that matters is having a “hot” goaltender and this year’s cup finals seems to prove that. If Gretzky were still with the Kings, I’d probably root for him but instead I’m rooting for 40-year-old Martin Broduer. To have those sort of reflexes at that age is truly remarkable.
Go DEVILS!
Hockey is still going on? I thought it was a winter sport. [Sarc from the Red Wings]
Note that all games are also on CBC, for those living in border areas that can pick up the over-the-air signal.
BOTH teams have hot goalies, and the Kings have a pretty impressive road-win record these playoffs!
But the Devils also have lots of playoff experience. Lets hope for a good series.
GO KINGS
Kings play much tougher game and offense crowds goalie better. Neither are my favorites but I say Kings to go.
Go Kings! Go Scuds (Scuderi) Pens fans miss you. Also Quick has been steller in goal all season. I like his style better than Broduer plus he’s American.
Thanks for all the pings this season airborne, much appreciated.
Sucks “sitting” on the sidelines, as usual...

Yeah the Kings win. I geuss as a Flyers fan I’m obligated to root for the Kings (aka Flyers-West).
As a die-hard Bruins fan, I am completely neutral on this Stanley Cup final — I will be simultaneously chanting "Beat L.A.!" and "Beat N.J.!" (LOL.)
This series will come down to whether the Kings' incredible road win streak can continue.
Nicklas Lidstrom to announce retirement; Yzerman on future of Red Wings
NEW YORK — Nicklas Lidstrom, the best defenseman of his era and one of the greatest of all time, will announce his retirement, an NHL source indicated to Yahoo! Sports. The Detroit Red Wings have called a press conference for 11 a.m. Thursday...

Kings of the road, another win, up two games to zip. Ten in a row to tie a NHL record for most road wins in a single postseason.
The Kings are a bigger team than Jersey. It really showed last night. I thought the Devils looked exhausted in the last few minutes even after the last line change. I don’t even think the Kings are playing as well as they did in earlier series. This looks like a sweep, hope I’m wrong.
It sure is quiet in here. Where are all the LA and NJ hockey fans?
