Are you a psychiatrist or have some type of experience with psychiatry? If not then you are in no place to tell me that overreactions cause Bipolar Disorder. What causes schizophrenia? The same thing?

I don’t need to be..Carl Jung knew these things and all about entities that created mental turmoil that so many doctors simply do not understand. Scott Peck wrote about them too. I am in good company. Try again...

“...all men past a certain age either die of or are going to die with prostate cancer- I guess all men are hateful - past a particular age - and particularly in our testicles.”

Prostate cancer has nothing to do with testicles. It may have a lot to do with phytoestrogens in the diet today.

It looks like a lot of people HERE on FR aren’t buying it,based on all the negative comments.

Prayer helps but it’s not going to get rid of a mental illness or cancer.

Of course I’m not buying this bulls**t.

You must be stark raving mad if you think that children develop cancer because of their parents’ negative thoughts.

..”You must be stark raving mad if you think that children develop cancer because of their parents’ negative thoughts”

That is not the way I explained it. I was saying that there are always deeper and hidden, sometimes not so hidden, negative emotional causes. I don't really care if I get static for this insight, it is true and it is very conservative to accept this responsibility...very healing too!

It may, but most likely not.

Those who think diet and/or industrialization is a major cause of cancer point to less cancer in the developing or undeveloped world. But when you look you find that far from being less likely to get cancer - they are simply more likely to die young of other causes and more likely to die of cancer without it being diagnosed.

http://www.everydayhealth.com/prostate-cancer/0131/2200-year-old-mummy-diagnosed-with-prostate-cancer.aspx

This Egyptian mummy had to wait a few thousand years for his diagnosis.

Do you wonder why some tissues are much more susceptible to cancer than others? Do you think dietary absorbed toxins are more likely to be deposited in such tissues - or is it that over time the constant cellular division of these tissues causes somatic mutations?

Whatever your belief about diet and toxins or phytoestrogens - it would be impossible to deny that tissues that undergo constant cellular replication during lifetime are much more prone to cancer than those tissues that do not.

The prostate, for example, is constantly undergoing cellular replication - and as men age - they are more likely to develop cancer of the prostate.

There’s no doubt that negative thoughts and feelings are detrimental to one’s well-being,but one cannot develop cancer based on negative thoughts alone. The same is true for a mental illness.

“...as men age - they are more likely to develop cancer of the prostate.”

I too believe this is true. There are some things though that have a bearing on cancer...Iodine, for instance. We often think that iodine is a thyroid issue. This is minimally true. Iodine is especially important in tissues like the breast and prostate. There is increasing evidence that if a woman has enough iodine in her breast tissue, she will not get breast cancer, and that if a man has enough iodine in his prostate tissue, he will not get prostate cancer.

There are several groups of indigenous people around the world that do not get cancer, and a commonality in these groups is high cesium in their diets. This has been extensively studied and cesium has been used successfully in curing cancer. Much of the work here was done by Keith Brewer, PhD.

These indigenous people do become subject to getting cancer same as the rest of us when they are no longer in their native environment and their diets change.

There are no people who do not get cancer. Every human being, every beast in the field, every bird on the wing - is subject to getting cancer.

It is a simple matter of DNA replication not being 100% accurate. Cellular replication requires DNA replication and at any point an error of replication can modify a gene (an oncogene) such that the new cell is cancerous.

It is a simple and inescapable fact of nature that mutations in some genes will cause cancer and that cellular reproduction itself causes mutation.

That is correct...there is also a spirit behind those thoughts that create and feed off of the mutation of the bodies cells.

What about positive people who develop cancer?

I go to a cancer center to get iron infusions and I see very sick cancer patients.

They can’t all be negative people. Some are still joyful and full of life, even more so than people who are well.

I wish I could rid myself of Bipolar Disorder by using prayer but the truth is I’m going to be on meds for the rest of my life.

I don’t know why I have it; I don’t know if anyone in my family had it.

But something went wrong somewhere. I’ve never been a happy person, especially since I was ridiculed in school from Pre-K all the way up to H.S.

The kids made my life a living hell. My life has been hard. Part of me wishes a slow, painful death upon these people (I know;it’s not very nice)

I’m sure my negative thoughts play a role in my disorder, but a chemical imbalance totally plays a role.

What do you think about Alzheimer’s? Did these poor people bring that on themselves?

I watched a woman feed her husband. It was heartbreaking.

He has since passed away.

That is what is causing your extreme mood swings. It is resentments, no matter how tiny. in your case, it has alot of them build up into anger..like most people. Unless you come to terms and have courage with these personal anger demons, you will need the meds, but they will only mask what will become evident once you pass into the spirit world. I hope you do not wait until it is too late, when God asks you why you did not at least try that calming Be Still exercise that you were advised too!

I totally agree about resentment turning into built up anger, but I do have a chemical imbalace and I need meds in order to keep it under control.

Mood swings are indeed caused by a chemical imbalance. Some people who have Bipolar Disorder have paranoid delusions, much like those who have schizophrenia.

There is definate evidence that people who are bipolar have different brains. Just look at an MRI and you will see the difference.

If you just try and like the Be Still exercise, you will find that you will need the drugs less and less. It is working phenomenally for combat ptsd, it certainly works well for bipolar too!
