PHILADELPHIA (AP) Wedding bells will ring this summer for Marvel Comics first openly gay hero, super speedster Northstar.
The New York-based publisher said Tuesday that Canadian character Jean-Paul Beaubier will marry his beau, Kyle Jinadu, in the pages of Astonishing X-Men No. 51. Thats due out June 20.

I’m convinced the entire comics publishing industry has turned lavender. DC plans to turn one of its superheroes gay. Marvel comes up with this obscure token gay superhero. Last summer while perusing the programming for San Diego Comic Con, I noticed the majority of comics panels were gay-themed. Gay this, gay that, gay, gay, gay. No wonder the medium is dying out.

Swell. Maybe after DC has outed their gay superhero, they can do a crossover episode where they double-date and go clubbing.
I think I’ve seen more threads today about gay comic-book characters than anything else.
