Catholic Priest Says A Schoolgirl Who Went Missing In 1983 Was Kidnapped For Vatican Sex Parties

The Catholic Church's leading exorcist priest asserts that a Vatican employee's daughter thought to be buried in a mob boss's tomb was kidnapped for Vatican sex parties, reports Nick Pisa of the Daily Mail.

Father Gabriel Amorth, who was ordained in 1954 and has carried out more than 70,000 exorcisms, made the claim to Italian newspaper La Stampa as police examine the contents of mobster Enrico De Pedis's tomb for clues about the 1983 disappearance of 15-year-old Emanuela Orlandi.

Father Amorth, 85, noted that an archivist at the Vatican previously admitted to recruiting girls for parties and told La Stampa newspaper the he believes that Orlandi "ended up in this circle" and that the "case of sexual exploitation" led to her murder followed by "the hiding of her body," according to the Daily Mail.

Father Amorth also said that "diplomatic staff from a foreign embassy to the Holy See" were also involved.

‘An archivist at the Vatican’ is not a priest necessarily.

The source for this article has been a priest for 58 years...and performed 70,000 exorcisms?

Assuming he worked at it 6 days a week, he would have had to perform 4 exorcisms a day, solid, for 58 years!

When the little things don’t seem believable, I question the big things.

I'd say he is nuts. Claiming one exorcism makes him a nut in my book. Claiming 70,000 is simply incontrovertible proof.

is that a number of demons maybe, rather than the number of times he performed the rite?

if there’s multiple spirits in a single subject or home, i would think that would really cut down on how often he had to do it.

That seems a bit high. I am not sure Fr. Malachi Martin did that many.

I not Catholic, but my heart aches for the church and for all those who have been sexually victimized. Not only by the Catholic church but Protestant as well.

I know someone very well that was abused in this manner. His life spiraled horribly out of control after the abuse as a child. Sexual immorality, divorce, drug and alcohol addiction...you name it.

Priest or the abuser can be forgiven and continue on celebrating fully in the sacraments of the church....He (the victim) cannot.

Just so sad. When will the Holy See provide remedy and provision for these who just want to receive the holy elements of the covenant meal.

I continue to pray for him, for the church and her leadership, for the abusers.

The Catholic Church is a hot mess.
And I thought priests were only interested in boys?

If you know someone who is not screwed up
I want to meet them
There is Evil in ALL of our Hearts
Especially mine , I can see it...

There may have been one without evil,
but we killed Him about 2100 yrs ago,
and He came back anyway.

I wonder if that was 70,000 different demons? Or one very persistent one?

Father Gabriel Amorth, who was ordained in 1954 and has carried out more than 70,000 exorcisms,

1954 to 2012 is 58 years.

70000 exorcisms, over 58 years, is 1206.89 exorcisms a year.

That works out to 3.3065 exorcisms a day, every day, rain, sleet or hail, sickness, health, weekends, Christmas.....

I call busslhit.

First thing you would do. First thing i would do. Definitely not what everyone would do. Certainly not a priest looking to protect the church instead of the child.
I took a few years of journalism way back in the 1970’s. I can tell you that it elevates your ability to read and especially your ability to question.
I have no idea where he was at the time of the incident but he became the official exorcist in 1986. He was in the area shortly after the crime for sure. Since he had to prepare for the position he was likely there before 1986. Still don’t know for sure but certainly more possible. Second point. He makes his statements about the crime. Did he say he was not involved? we don’t know either way if he was or was not. His statement could well be a confession. We simply don’t know.

-—Father Amorth, 85, noted that an archivist at the Vatican——

Is the activist a lay person? Sister? Brother? Priest?

Regardless, any members of these categories may sin. If true, this story would obviously be scandalous. Still, this report is light on facts.

——previously admitted to recruiting girls for parties-—

Admitted to who? Was the behavior criminal? Was there a trial? Conviction?

——and told La Stampa newspaper the he believes that Orlandi “ended up in this circle” and that the “case of sexual exploitation” led to her murder followed by “the hiding of her body,” according to the Daily Mail.——

Did he base his opinion on ANY facts? If not, this is pure speculation.

-—Father Amorth also said that “diplomatic staff from a foreign embassy to the Holy See” were also involved.-—

Again, based on what?

In all fairness, it’s the obligation of the claimant to present proof to support his accusation, not of his dectractors to prove the negative of his claim. Father Amorth, who has a recent history of somewhat incredible claims, has made a claim for which he has presented no corroborating proof.

If you have evidence that he has lied about what happened to the girl, post it. But you don’t have evidence of him lying in the first place, only assertions of lying.

What proof do we have that he is telling the truth? Has anyone verified his story independently?

He is 85 and knows he may not have much time left so yes if true it is very much a confession. Of what though? Like you asked what he involved or just guilty of having the knowledge all these years.

Thank you for your level-headed post.

Studies show that the rate of child abuse among priests and ministers is about 1-3%.

The rate among public school teachers is reported to be 10%. Yet which do we hear more about?

Which are the temples of a godless society?
