I ran out of good concealed carry weapons and you just can't live like that. I carry a 38sp 5 shot wheel gun but not accurate enough. I have a cw vest that carries my 1911 but I'm wat to skinny now, I walk like Barney Fife.
I bought a very nice Taurus Millenium PT 145 tonight. It carries 10+1 45ACP and is incredibly small. Wieghs in at 16oz empty. The only fault I have found is the mags are hell to load with my aging hands.
It was about $400 and shoooo is purdy. Any downsides or good stuff about it?

A tool to help load mags isn’t expensive.

For a second I though you were talking about the shot glass used for alcohol not a gun.

Congrats on the new gun. I still think my .40 Glock 23 is about the ideal carry gun but I still like to shoot .357 Magnum at the range in the 686.

My current carry gun is a springfield SD .40 sub compact with night sights and a powder river trigger. It is great
To: oldenuff2no
Make that XD.40. My eyes are great it is my fingers that are screwed up. The powder river fixes the XD’s trigger problems. It now trips at just under 3 lbs with very little over travel and almost not forward travel to reengage the sear. It took some doing but I like it better than the Glock 23.

As far as the mag loading issue, more and more I’ve seen new innovative products that make loading a snap. Glock includes such a device with most of their handguns.
Maybe you can find a similar tool?

Same here. I’m keeping it but looking for something else.

I will be most interested in an after report, after you have fired a mag or two through the Taras. Until then I will just keep with my Gold Cup in a shoulder holster.

Taurus makes a fine weapon. My night stand gun is a 6 inch bbl Taurus .357.
To: chesty_puller
I like large weapons. Glocks are good stuff but I just can not shoot well, with the plastic light weight pistols. In addition they are ugly ugly ugly.
I tried several rigs (borrowed from friends) and did not find one that I liked for a large pistol. For the last several years I have been using a quick opening shoulder bag that looks like a camera bag. My full sized 1911 45ACP or High-power 9mm Browning Parabellum both carry well in my bag.
