Anyone else see them at around 10:30pm. About a dozen, moved in FAST from the northwest, hovered about 5 minutes, then faded out.
Oh, it was just me flying around in my model Klingon Bird of Prey. I built it myself, but the warp drive still has a few kinks. It only gets up to Warp speed 2. That means it takes me at least a few minutes to get to the sun and back. Too long.
Bigfoot riding a space dinosaur. Solved.
oh yeah?! ...and how do you explain those truck-like noises coming from down by the highway?!!
*ping of interest*
Thanks for the ping.
Are you joking? If so, OK. Or do you really think I’m too stupid to tell the difference between planes and what I’m talking about?
Um, can I get a ride? LOL.
In all seriousness, some fairly respected engineers and physicist said they could build the Enterprise (warp drive and all) for $1,000,000,000,000 ($1T). While I have some doubts about current FTL theories (and no pseudo-science ones, real ones), I think they’re close.
Wouldn’t that be wild?
How about an in-solar system ship that could mine asteroids? Prob less than $1T, and could easily generate/create much more than that in wealth.
PS 10 year time frame.
Texans coming to CA for higher paying jobs?
What a shock!
Sorry I posted and had to run. Vague reference. That was from the Newhart show, circa 1987. The Halloween show when the townsfolk start suspecting Dick Loudon (Newhart) may be an alien. It’s been awhile but you stirred up the old memory banks. The lines went something like...
DICK: How do you KNOW we’re being invaded by aliens?
Chester (I think that was his name): It’s OBVIOUS! How do you explain those strange lights in the sky?
DICK: Where?
Chester: Over by the airport! Not to mention those wierd, truck-like noises coming from down by the highway?...
DICK: Well... AIRPLANES AND TRUCKS!
Funny, funny show... :-)
Ok so I wasn’t the only one who saw it. I was driving down Macarthur at 11pm when I saw 3 objects in a triangular pattern. They were still and darted sudden movements which discredited helicopters. One at a time they shot off but by the time I was able to pull over only one was left and I wasn’t able to capture it on video. A suburban pulled up 30 feet behind me on this side street and were sitting in their car with their lights on me so they must have seen it too. There was only about 30-45 sec from when I first saw them until the bright orange objects disappeared.
Just a side note. John Wayne airport has to shut down arnd 8-9pm due to being in a residential area. There was no air traffic at that time. And police helicopters are distinguishable by their lights, sound, and flight patterns. This wasn’t a helicopter.
Sorry, my response was uncalled for, and my knowledge of vintage (ie, good) TV is lacking.
Yes, funny stuff!!!
Thanks for the ping.
