Anyone else see them at around 10:30pm. About a dozen, moved in FAST from the northwest, hovered about 5 minutes, then faded out.
I see strange bright lights here all the time. Every plane in the area(I’m in Huntington Beach,Newport) is approaching this one spot(JW airport) from ALL directions. Consequently you have bright lights that keep getting brighter and never deviating or fading as they approach the airport. Frequently some are so bright I think they are an asteroid or comet, till trajectory and time says not. Staring at the night lights here is annoying.
Hey, just some new AF clones checking out the area... No sense in getting worried. /sarcism. Won’t be long that all are under surveillance.
I guess your not in Texas anymore. Sorry to here that.
The first one was bright enough and fast enought that I thought it was a meteor. Until 10+ more followed it...
I still claim Texas as home. But a too good to pass up job popped up in Irvine, CA. 300% raise. But I’m a Texan at heart. Always will be...
(I also ask Jim to credit my Freepathon donations to Texas, and he is kind enough to do so.)
Strange, just got done watching The Langoliers.
Oh, you mean planes? Planes don’t stop and hover. I suspect helicopters, but they were silent (I’m a mile away, so can hear normal ones), so probably military (stealth).
Nope....you should’ve posted earlier so all we Freepers could run out in our yards looking up...
And having the neighbors call the police on us. :)
Seriously, no, I saw nothing..
Great movie, huh?
The same thing startled a Sen. Samuel Chapman once. It turned out to be a helicopter.
What I thought at first, except for the hovering.
Military helicopters is my best theory...
‘______Air Force clones_____’
Maybe ‘drones’ - ?!
I agree 300 % is too good to pass up.
You can pay your Kalifornia taxes (for now) and still have some left over.
Did you have to claim CA residency.
Yup. CA resident. Sucks.
Maybe they are Obama’s drones.
Lots of years ago, while sitting/pacing/standing/laying around as Staff Duty Officer on a major USAF base I received a pot load of calls about a group of UFO cavorting around the area.
(This was one of several UFO reports I took during the 18 or so months at that base; I DO believe that there is something out there.)
I automatically advised the tower, the emergency Christmas tree, and then the ADC radar site located about 3000 feet above our location.
Immediately that radar site went off of the grid. Well, actually the telephone just rang, and rang, and rang, with no answer.
After about ten minutes (in a cold sweat) someone from ADC answered the phone (quite breathless) and told me that there were UFO reported in the area and everyone was outside looking for them.
PS: No other radar in the area reported any activity other than a preplanned flight into a USMC base about 60 miles away and everyone had seen them.
For me, that flick took too long to develop.
But that means I get to watch Patricia Wettig for longer, which makes it worthwhile!
