LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) Country music legend Loretta Lynn is three years older than she has led people to believe, an age change that undermines the story she told of being married at 13 in "Coal Miner's Daughter," documents obtained by The Associated Press show.

I am now suspicious.
I am wondering whether Tennessee Ernie Ford really loaded 16 tons. Maybe it was just 15.5 tons.
I am outraged (OUTRAGED!)
Reports of Loretta’s death have been greatly exaggerated.
I am sure she will be surprised to hear that being she is performing tonight at Nutty Jerry's in Winnie, Texas show time is 7PM and I believe Tickets are still available!
...”Thank God they are finally vetting Loretta Lynn! The country can finally relax knowing our media is doing a bang up job”...
If her birth certificate is important, she must be a Conservative. The left doesn’t bother itself with matters of IDs or BCs.
Speaking of coal mining, Neither Lee Dorsey, who scored a hit with Working in a Coal Mine, nor the song's writer, Allen Toussaint, ever worked in a coal mine.
Yes, I agree, and a unimportant story, so what if the age was 2 years different, she just a singer!
FROM Wikipedia:
Though Lynn has been outspoken about her views on often-controversial social and political subjects, she stated, “I don’t like to talk about things where you’re going to get one side or the other unhappy. My music has no politics.”[33] She has visited the White House six times since 1976, under both Republican and Democratic presidents,[34] and in her autobiography, she said her father was a Republican and her mother was a Democrat. In 2002’s Still Woman Enough, she discusses her longtime friendship and support for Jimmy Carter,[35] yet during the same time period she made her only recorded political donations ($4,300) to Republican candidates and Republican-aligned PACs. She is known to have a friendly relationship with both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, who awarded her Kennedy Center Honors in 2003 [36] At other times, she has also questioned both political parties.
Honestly, who the heck cares? Why pick on the poor woman? The AP stinks.
Big John did not die in a mining accident. It was all staged and he living in Argentina.
The articles mentioned that her father listed her as 7 years old in the 1940 census. The 1940 census records were just released on April 2, 2012. The Census Bureau releases census records 70 years after they are compiled. This is the first census after Loretta Lynn was born.

And Timothy actually slipped out through a different shaft.
WHAT!! she is dead? She is my favorite and my mother. She has always been outspoken. When she campaigned for Bush Sr. some heckler said something and boy she tossed some strong words to this person that everyone applauded. Eversince more so she has gained my respect.
I don’t think she is dead but she is not in great health.
Miss Loretta turned 80 in April and is very much alive.
Nobody can sing American like Loretta Lynn.
Big Bruce!

We can track cattle sold in Canada years ago to South Dakota (or wherever) when they show up with mad cow disease ... but don’t have any idea how many illegals are in the U.S. or where they are located. By the way, Big Bad John was only 5’9” and weighed 158 lbs. It was the media who exaggerated and inflated the statistics.
Math between exact years is an exact science.
Math between exact dates is not.
Apples and oranges.
She may have been "amost" 14 in the first instance, and "justed turned 15" in the other.
I'm sure Tennessee math is just fine.
Montana or Idaho? Not so much. One of them wanted to redefine pi by law around 100 years ago.
What about Sissy Spacek whom Loretta played in a movie?
