The latest Rasmussen polls suggest that Obama's extensive record of accomplishment might not be enough to earn him another 4 years in the White House. Unfortunately, a defeat in November would still leave him with 2 1/2 months to do as much damage as possible before he leaves office
I'd like to throw a question out to my fellow FReepers:
What is Obama likely to do with his remaining power in order to "fundamentally transform" the United States? Will he be held back in any way by concerns over how the country views him afterward? Whereas Bill Clinton was obsessed with his legacy, I think Obama is more obsessed with achieving his leftist goals by any means necessary--legacy be damned.
A few ideas:
1) More Unreciprocated Concessions to Russia - This will surprise no one since our Quisling-in-Chief already telegraphed an upcoming betrayal in his "hot mic" moment with Medvedev. - MODERATELY LIKELY
2) Packing the Supreme Court - Some trial balloons have been floated around this one lately, but I think that's too audacious even for Obama. - UNLIKELY
3) Worst Pardons Ever - Leftist cretins shouting "Free Mumia!" are likely to get their wish from an embittered, racist President spending his final few days in office. Expect some of the worst people in the world to receive their Get out of Jail Free card in January 2013 - HIGHLY LIKELY
There’s no way he can pack the Supreme Court. It would take an act of Congress to increase the size of the Supreme Court, and that’s not going to happen.

Whatever he can do with an executive order, he will do.
I’ve heard that “gay” groups are pushing for an executive order to ban “discrimination” among federal contractors, for example. If there is any subject on which he can imprint a liberal policy without Congress he will do so on the way out the door.
He will issue controversial pardons on the way out. Presidents tend to do so. Remember Bill Clinton and all his pardons on the evening and morning of Jan. 19-20, 2001? He was up late at night in the Oval Office on his last full day in office, issuing pardons. I would expect no less of Obama.
Shows what I know. Glad that particular option is out of his reach.
With no vote of the Electoral College, Obama will name himself President pro tempore of the United States.
In this case “pro tempore” means life.
I do...a lot of politically connected Dem slime balls got out of prison. I expect Obama's to be based a lot more on ideology than corrupt connections.
The Kenyan lizard can do nothing that will persist after his admin. Executive orders can be rescinded. Congress will pass nothing. The worse he can do is commute prison terms.
Yes, he has taken some truly impressive vacations. In that regard alone he stands head~n~shoulders above any of his predecessors.
This particular bit of insanity is something I hadn't heard of. Thanks for dimming my outlook further.
What about treaties?
The lame-duck senate can ratify treaties and he can sign them.
Hillary has already resurrected "The Rights of the Child" treaty, and it is in the works.
And that’s just a few things obama might do. I’m more afraid that we’re going to have to deal with an enraged leftie voting block. They had their big chance and they blew it all the way around, but are they going to be gracious and hand the power to us? I highly doubt it.
Any last minute ‘’pardons’’ could run the risk of being subject to street justice.
Just sayin’.
The lame-duck senate can ratify treaties and he can sign them.
Rat faced Reid doesn’t have the votes to end a filibuster.
I suspect the potential for Leftwing, Liberal violence is extremely high.
It will be the Left which initiates bloodshed. The mass media will enable it. The Left leaders will tacitly encourage it. Those of us targeted will have to be careful with what level of defense we employ.
What do you mean, “leave office”?
