It depends. The tactics work for their Islamic terrorist friends, for their North Korean friends, and for others like them. If you act outrageous enough and promise to be good in return for what you demand, many people think it's cheaper to pay protection money or its equivalent than to stand up to thugs and bullies. NK promises to stop weapons programs they deny having and we pay them with food for the empty promise. Islamic terrorists promise to trade land for peace with Israel and then use the land Israel delivers as a launch point for rockets. Leftists demand "social justice" (meaning they watch TV and we give them what we produce), and many of us pay them off because we think we're productive enough to carry them along with us. Crazy? Yes, but it works for them, in a pathetic way that temporarily satisfies their greed.
It is a combination of two attitudes - the entitlement mentality (the world owes me my due) along with the “dont dis / judge me” mentality.
The liberals (aka, progressives, communists- global socialists, fascists - National socialists) were joshing you when they claimed to be tolerant and smart. :)
It is interesting following them on the Internet. Alot of the really evil, murderous stuff comes from the queer, diversity racist and felon factions of the party. They would kill ya, just as soon as look at ya. All they need is the centralized domestic military/police power under the right “domestic emergency” dictator to do it. What you think of as good, they name evil. What you think is evil, they name good.
A good rule of thumb is that you can always spot the Liberal blog by the ten appearances of the F-bomb before you get through paragraph #3.

Many were shocked to find that they were denied a future in designing and testing video games. Most never were were told or at lest didn't accept the explanation of "This how things work."
