In some States this year, I’ve been informed that ALL selections must be made on either the paper ballot (for write-ins) or all on the machine. Some States allow easier recording of write-ins on machines; mine doesn’t. I want my opposition vote against R and O recorded and I do not trust the proper counting of write-in votes throughout SC.
I have decided, based on current knowledge of likely events, to NOT write-in Sarah’s name (unless she winds up running) and instead make sure my R&O opposition vote is recorded in a way likely to be reported in the printed press. So, for Pres/VP only, I intend to vote Constitution Party.
Straighten me out if you know a better or easier way.
If we surround the convention center with 100k, no signs, just silent presence, will the police try to move us elsewhere?

Good lord....do you honestly think that standing outside and quietly staring at the convention center will have the slightest effect on what goes on inside? Do you not understand the sort of people we're dealing with here?
Hell, friend. We need to muster all the protest signs, noise, and fury that we can summon, in order to get their attention. If some folks get hauled off by the cops, even better. The press will have to report it, and the rebellion will be ON.

How many know about the Constitution Party? And of that many how many know who their candidate is?
Palin has much more name recognition than any of their candidates. She outdid Couric in the TV ratings, she was way more popular at CPAC 2012 than any of the Pubbie candidates at that time.

The number wont matter, if we are demonstrating, signs and yelling, the police will haul all of us off.
Now if 100K of us stand there and calmly tell delegates to do the right thing and hint, we are coming through that door, OH to L with it lets go through the door and really raise L.
The police can't haul off 100,000 noisy protesters. And no one's talking about throwing bricks and breaking things, but a little civil disobedience will go a long way toward getting the convention delegates' attention. It'll also get the attention of the whole world, and let them know that we conservatives and patriots have HAD it with being rolled over by the powers that be.

I don't care much for the standing calmly part -- we've been trying that for decades, and it's gotten us nothing but walked over. I'm all for going through the door and raising some hell, though.

Agree with you. If I felt more confident that write-ins would be publicized here, I’d probably do that too. Write-in votes are not publicly reported in this part of the world.
