I’m selling Sun Block Cream with a “special solar flare-up repellent.” Just $19.95. But wait, if you act right now...

Cheer up!

The Earth and Sun have been around a long-long time, with no end in sight.

We can all thank God for giving us a planet that's been around for about 4.6 billion years ... with no end in sight.

The current solar cycle is quite weak compared to those over the last 200 years or so. That’s not to say an individual spot couldn’t be a problem, but it is less likely.

The coming Solar Cycle 25 should be weaker still. The major implication of these weak solar cycles is actually lower global temperatures.

Travelling at the speed of light it takes 8 minutes for solar “events” to reach the earth.

Done already.

"...threatening to plunge cities around the world into darkness and bring the global economy screeching to a halt. "

Hmmmm...Guess we're toast.

Bad enough that this threat is growing exponentially due to a massive explosion of communist ideology in Washington, but now the same threat from a massive explosion on the good old sun.

There was a solar storm back in the mid to late 1800’s that fused telegraph devices...a similar storm today would do far more damage and it’s only a matter of time.

BIG NEW SUNSPOT: A large sunspot group is rotating into view over the sun's northeastern limb. The emergence of this apparently significant active region could herald an increase in solar activity.

We're doomed!

Yes, eventually we are. It may be a sunstorm, a supervolcano, an asteroid or comet strike, a ferocious pandemic, climate change (yes, catastrophic change happens, but not for the reasons the Gorebots say) or something presently unpredictable. Eventually the human race will either be destroyed or reduced to a small remnant. Such catastrophes have happened in the past and will happen again given the passage of time.

The sun is too dangerous. We should reduce our use of the sun.

Let’s see now. “Massive Solar Flare to Create Chaos” story runs, what, about every 1-2 years? For, what, at least the last 3 or 4 decades? And guess what? NOT ONCE, NOT ONCE, I tell you has a “massive” solar flare EVER created chaos! NOT ONE FUCHING TIME!
