It's time to face the music. It's time to not hate as much.
The Dems know that Obama cannot win on his record ...so his opponent has to be someone who will divide the Right, not unify us. Thus, they along with the liberal media, worked hard to gave us Mitt. Just like they did to us with McCain. We were stupid and we fell for it then; many did not vote at all rather than vote for McCain. For all the reasons we know, he was not the top pick of enough of us and so Obama won. Not by much, but enough. We can't let those lost votes of the past to remain lost.
And...it will happen again if we don't learn from the last election. The future downfall and destruction of our country under four more years of Obama will not be worth the satisfaction of holding out against the GOP candidate.
There is a lot about Romney that makes me very unhappy...but not nearly as much as what we know we will get with the current Occupier in the White House for another term. I might not sing his praises but I will not waste my vote and not use it to get Obama out. That will hurt everyone who values our morals, our military, our economic power, our Christian-Jewish heritage, and the freedoms our Constitution provides. I can't do that to my fellow countrymen, or my country.
Given another term, Obama will complete his plans to end our Republic as we know it, and then what will we have? Obama will install a new form of "ism" based on Hitler/Marx/Stalin's ideals and he will see to it that Sharia Law will take over in the Courts. Do we really want that to happen?
So we might not want to promote Romney here, or campaign for him, whatever...but we cannot hand another win to Obama as a protest against the GOP. Go to the polls wearing a sign, or a button or let it be known that you are only voting for Romney to keep Obama out. However you might want to express it...but, please, don't throw away your vote and do our country dirty out of spite.
I agree.
It’s imperative that we get rid of Obama. In world war 2 we worked with Stalin against Hitler so there you go...
Sometimes you just gotta do, what you just gotta do.
You don’t have to like it, but the alternative is unthinkable.
I have more in common with Reagan, Jim. I’m in Illinois. My parents met Reagan, but I never got to. My father worked FOR Reagan at the Department of Agriculture and then at NATO.
You know ... it seems to me that the Young Republicans used to have a lot of fun. I actually have a big pin from the Young Republican National Federation
Convention at the Conrad Hilton in 1969 where my dad was on the convention committee and was a sergeant at arms according to the ribbons.
I know that this must have been a good time ... because I was born in April of 1970.
:)
Who are you going to vote for Jim???
I thought you were trying to make peace here?
Republicans had better NOT stay home.
I will be volunteering for my local congressman and I will be voting for Romney.
I am 42 ... and sadly... my parents died young and I don’t have them with me... but I’ll be @#$&%& if I stay home and don’t vote for the LESSER of two evils.
I know it’s the choice between the caca taco and the poo wrap ... but.... my duty as an American citizen is to vote.
While your heart may be in the right place you exhibit little more than wishful thinking in my book.
Agreed. We might not always like our bedfellows, but it is better to be warm, than be out in the cold. And it is much better for us to keep Obama’s friends out of the Lincoln bedroom!

QED
Live on your knees or die on your feet, your choice.
We should’ve destroyed Stalin first. He made Hitler look like a choir boy.
...So we might not want to promote Romney here, or campaign for him, whatever...but we cannot hand another win to Obama as a protest against the GOP. Absolutely yes...to everything you posted....and your last paragraph needs to be repeated, over and over! Excellent.
“You know this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan.
This is a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical, leftist president in American history. Newt Gingrich
Those claiming purity have already violated it by paying for abortions.
I don’t know, but it won’t be an abortionist/socialist that’s for sure.
You know, I will admit to that to some extent. It is wishful thinking on my part to think that Romney will govern as conservatively as his primary rhetoric. But that's about all I've got at this point. There's no other candidate who can beat Obama.
To quote a television series: "I want to believe." I want to believe that Romney will keep some of his current promises, even if only because he is something of a chameleon and that might be advantageous to him. There's a very good chance I will be disappointed, I admit it, but then that has happened with every president in my life. I just don't know how badly I will be disappointed, and there's no way at this point anyone can predict with certainty what Romney will do or be able to do. Obama--we know what he will do.
But the thing about this wishful thinking of mine is that some of it might actually come true. I think there's a real possibility that Romney may govern more conservatively than he did in Massachusetts, for a number of reasons. And I think it's a virtual certainty that he will govern more conservatively than Obamao.
"a turd with sharp cutting edges"
is a truly Homeric epithet.
P.S. and Winston, despite living in 1984, is a very lucky fellow.
One additional point. You want to vote Conservative Senate and House, so how to help those in both houses of Congress— get Romney or stay with the Kenyan?
Then vote for Obama or stay home.
Because that’s your choice.
I find it ridiculous that I value people who are true ... yet I find myself hoping that Romney will be the POLITICIAN.
I want him to betray what he has done in the past in order to promise four years of NOT OBAMA.
Having lived under Mitt in MA, I will agree with you, wholeheartedly. He wasn't my guy in the primaries, and I didn't vote for him, but I WILL vote for him against Obama, because we just cannot afford four more years of that man.
...or be able to do.
I can see it now...four years of blaming Obama or Congress for nothing getting done.
I don't want a dictator or a tyrant, but I've personally had just about enough of leading from behind.
So... you head up this site...
but you won’t vote for the GOP nominee because he’s not pure enough for you?
Do you think others should follow your lead?
There’s no doubt, Jim, what you stand for and what your beliefs are.
But right now ... I’m of a younger generation and I have friends even younger than me ...
We are scared SCARED as in .... SCARED about what four more years of Obama could bring.
We didn’t want Romney... but Cain couldn’t keep it in his pants.
Bachmann made too many stupid statements
Gingrich couldn’t speak about social issues with authority
Santorum didn’t have the base and had a sick child....
What would you like for your site?
Do you just want old grumpy people who will refuse to do their civic duty because they don’t like Romney?
What the Republicans/Tea Party needs to do is regroup and concentrate on local elections for Congress and Senate. We did it in Illinois. We got a Republican Congressman in my District and a Republican Senator replaced Obama.
There’s no use here fighting over the GOP nominee. It’s going to be Romney.
I won't do that.
I'd rather know that I'm facing my enemy than have to constantly worry about getting knifed in the back by my supposed compatriot.
