My brother has just been diagnosed with ALS(Lou Gherig's disease). I would like to request Prayers for him.

Prayers for you and your brother as this is most difficult diagnosis. Like Vickixxx and LovedSinner stated, please double check that it isn’t something like Lymes. TV, years ago, had a story on how people with Lymes could be turned around with the proper medications after suffering ALS symptoms. They had been told they had ALS, and yet they were experiencing problems because of a tick bite. (My best friend’s mother was dealing with ALS at the time, so we were hoping this would be her situation.) It is certainly worth investigating.

Also, tell him to go to truthinlabeling.org and learn about the connection of MSG to nerve related diseases. He should try a no MSG diet and see if he improves. MSG is marketed by many different names in products. The info is at the before mentioned site.

Losing a child is too. Losing 2 is even harder.
Am going to give it a try as I have Fibromyalgia and the joint and muscle pain, plus Peripheral Neuropathy leg pain, keep me awake most nights, I refuse to take those dangerous sleeping pills, I live in Memphis, and it is not a safe city to live in, even if you are on the edge of it. Crime is mobile and I want to hear the alarm and the dogs not sleep through them.

But he was exposed to chems he may not know about. Also hire a SS disability lawyer, a good one on the FRONT END, do not go through the gov’t’s red tape, you will be turned down repeatedly. and get him to working on getting your brother on Disability..it will help income wise if nothing else. Also qualifies him for Medicare A & B.
They kept a guy from my Sunday School class who was on the heart transplant list dangling for 3 years. So get the lawyer on the front end...they get 25% off the top, it is all they can get. And you get back pay from the day you file to the day you are approved. And your brother is going to need the income as the disease progresses. Medicare may be rationed health care but at least for now it is some help.
