If your movie is bad, play for it people who just need to see explosions and special effects. But...but...aren't foreign audiences more 'sophisticated" than the dopey Americans?

Just goes to show you Americans are unsophisticated even when it comes to explosions and special effects.

Liam Neeson’s in it - he’s a star.
It was OK - very busy and over the top.

I must have the intelligence of a troglodyte because I can’t wait to see “Battleship” and I loved “John Carter”.
To: BenLurkin
No.
They have deliberately dumbed down the dialogue and simplified the villains and focused on well-known locations specifically for the international market.

“John Carter” was entertaining, although bitterly disappointing on a personsal level. (If ever I win $200million on Lotto I will produce “A Princess of Mars” and do it right!)

from the trailer it looked like more hi tech far feched
escapist fare. i’m not great at suspending reality, at least not to that extent. others may find it entertaining.

it is rumored that Katy Perry is interested in an acting career.

it is rumored that Katy Perry is interested in an acting career. After seeing her in that "Part of Me" video, I think she could be a very good actress.

Whats next, the Hungry Hungry Hippos movie? Hsst! Mum's the word on that one. I'm pitching it to Universal and so far I've got Susan Sarandon and Oprah signed up for the title roles. I wuz going for Carrie Fisher but the dang girl dieted herself out of a job. We'll see what happens to her career... Dare I hope for a cameo from the First Lady? Dare I?
To: dfwgator
Yah we know which “part of her” people want to see *rimshot*

Well so far, I haven’t gotten any bites from studios for my “Don’t Break the Ice” script, but I’m still hopeful.
