A UFO, not behaving like a meteor, streaked across the skies of Arizona, causing many to call police. And for a local news team to head out of the studio to investigate. What was it?
In a sign that mainstream media is beginning to pay serious attention to the unidentified flying object phenomenon, local Arizona TV news affiliate ABC15 did a two-minute news segment on the fireball which was reportedly streaking across the sky as the newscast aired live.
Witness photographs and videos were shown on-screen, and this one, showing an irregular flight path of the object, was broadcast. The news team speculated over what the object could be, even calling it a UFO at one point. A camera crew was sent out to the field to catch video of the object and they were successful.

That was Vincent D'Onofrio ... also "Private Pyle" in Full Metal Jacket and "Detective Goren" in Law & Order: Criminal Intent ... among many others. Very talented actor.
Thanks for the ping, Quix!
The trick, as always, is not to let your conclusions run ahead of your data ... and to distinguish data from bogosity.
Thanks for the advice; I will do that next time, Q.
Arizona has an an amazing number of events.
If you go to YouTube, and search [UFO Arizona], dozens of them come up.Many witnessed by thousands of people at the same time. The Phoenix Lights are the most infamous.
Maybe we will get to know whats really happening soon?
Thanks for the review; I’ll get them rented for the weekend.
That’s exactly how I look at it all, now that I’ve *seen things* which I can’t explain away as swamp gas belches or lost balloons or whatever.
Fortunately or otherwise, I’m rarely able to conclude anything... LOL
Been there, done that.
Amazing what seeing a ball of light do something very screwy and very, very fast in the sky will do to your attitude about things :^)
I don't believe the green fireballs came from outer space but they were "real" UFOs -- *unidentified* flying objects. Nobody seems to have a provable theory about what caused them but there's been endless speculation. Google "green fireballs New Mexico" or read the Wiki summary here: GREEN FIREBALLS
Your description is almost identical with a craft my wife saw near San Luis Obispo, CA: lots of lights, fairly low altitude and absolutely silent. One more really odd thing: it seemed capable of making right-angle, not curved, course changes. She said it appeared to be V-shaped. That part of CA isn't too many flight miles from Area 51 and we've always figured it was a military test of some kind.
I guess it could have been more than one craft or maybe a group of special force guys in formation using some kind of quiet para-sails or something.
Brain-dead local ABC anchor dweeb, “A lot of people said this was moving horizonally, which might rule out a meteor.”
Uh, was it visible to military radar? if not they would not show up, and if the military was scrambled and it really was a ufo they saw, do we think we could do anything to it?
pleeeeease...
My S.A.C., who was coincidentally a retired Air Force colonel and SAC commander once chased one across four states. I noticed Venus in the night sky last night though, it seemed unusually bright and large.
Thanks; very, very interesting info, BM.
I looked for a link before I posted, it was in the washington post.......there are many such stories, like the UFO over UK that was larger then an ircraft carrier that when jets went to fire on them the jets shut down....

Look out...you’ll be called a kook pretty soon. Some FReepers don’t believe in some things.
