Don't worry Rush, you're not being threatened.
Who knew?
I can’t wait to not listen to him.
Well at least Huckabee is on the radio and not in a position to pardon a bunch of felons into society to commit more crimes.
That aside, Huckabee won’t be able to compete with Limbaugh but he will probably do fairly well with many social conservatives. There are a lot of Robertson/Huckabee/Santorum type voters that aren’t small government conservatives, but are primarily focused on traditional family values and will find Huckabee’s message appealing.
He’s on WOR-710 New York, too.
I won’t be listening.
Ever
If a talker runs his mouth and no one is there to listen, would anyone know the difference.
Having spent some time in radio and heard a lot of talent, I can tell you that in terms of vocal fluency, Huckabee is a true natural. His speech, both that which is read and that which is “off the top of his head,” is exceptionally well done.
I am not going to get into politics (which are not that well known to me) but I’m saying that he should do well in talk radio based upon his speaking ability.
No thanks.If I want a daytime snooze I’ll pop a valium.
Despite KLIF’s denials last week that it would carry the 3-hour Huck show and the hysteria by some here on FR that WBAP would drop Rush for the Huckster, KLIF started promoting Huckabee’s show today and have it in their program schedule. Huck’s first guest is... wait for it... “Moderate” Mitt Romney!
I feel for JD Hayworth, who took over Rush’s time slot on our local station KSFO. (This happened long before the Fluke deal) Naturally, the exodus of Rush listeners left a serious vacuum in terms of listeners. JD came in, and did however he did. JD is a smart, decent, well spoken guy who does sub-nothing for me as a talk show host. Just the way it is. Plus, it’s Rush I want to listen to. Huckabee might be better. Might. I don’t mind his little 2-minute snippets, but I tend to doubt he can cover a three hour slot. We’ll see. (my least favorite two words in the English language) I won’t see, Rush is my dude.
