"Oh, a wiseguy"
"nyuk, nyuk, nyuk"
"spread out"
Dewey, Cheatum and Howe :)
My favorite...”The triple slap”.
When you have watched untold thousands of hours of stooges in your life, actors playing them no matter how convincing they are just doesn’t work. My 10 year old who is a newer fan of their old films, may enjoy the heck out of it.
Now THAT’S entertainment!
Please keep it pure though...no politics. Yes, I know there was some political stuff in the original but that was against the Nazis and tyranny in general.
Wait...what? Good Lord....why?
Looks really good!
Spread um!
Curly seems spot on.
“Wait...what? Good Lord....why?”
Because the current crop of Hollywood “writers” grew up watching bad sit-coms and don’t have any idea what “originality” or “creativity” really means.
And, even if they did, the powers that finance the films wouldn’t take a chance on anything that hasn’t already been shown to have made money... somewhere... sometime.
The end result is our film industry is... well, the best picture last year was a silent film made by the French.
I have several female co-workers. I asked them with a straight face if they were begging their husbands to take them to this date movie.
They looked at me as if I was stark raving mad.
The Stooges are just something that the vast majority of women will never get. And for good reason.
IS NOTHING SACRED?
LOL how long after release and kids are re-enacting with each other will we have a “national emergency” that requires new PSA’s and teacher workshops on our hands?
That said, THIS woman thinks it looks pretty good, and I’ll probably be seeing it with my mother.
And I'd personally pay money to see Ted Healy's face if this turned out to be a hit.
Alas.
LOL! Looks good. Thanks for posting. I loved the stooges. Those were the days of entertainment...and on television no less! I really have an aversion to funding ANYTHING coming out of Hollywood. The last movie I saw was Atlas Shrugged. Before that, Marley and Me.
Looks all right, might be worth seeing. The originals are still on, IFC I think.
The remake is bizarre. As a matter of fact has any remake been as good as the original?
what is particularly weird is that the new writers must have been completely ignorant of the original. They were three Jews that threw in numerous yiddishisms and the kulturkamph of their movies was three Jews in WASP America. Did the new writers notknow this when they made yhem catholic orphans?
