I picture Newt Gingrich as an old seasoned sea captain, with the captain's hat and the pipe standing at the helm of the USS America, calmly, with ruthless brilliance righting our ship that has lost it's course. He's the only one who knows where the the reefs and sandbars are and can prevent a ship wreck. If people don't start letting him have the wheel, we're going to all need life jackets.
I agree with you 100%. Let’s drop the baggage stuff. They all have baggage, but the most important thing is to elect the best leader who can lead us out of this mess. Newt is a proven leader, and I am all for him to be the next President of the United States. Go Newt !!
He is a visionary and expresses his visions with savvy.
Good grief. I’d support Newt ... but lets not whitewash. Most of the baggage is true — old, but true.
Newt is what he is ... a very flawed, very smart man who may be the best choice standing. He would be a capable captain, but I’ll not worship him as if he’s something he’s not.

America needs Newt. He’s probably the only one who can beat obama. If one of the others does happen to beat obama I don’t believe they can or will make the necessary changes in government that are needed, I believe after a brief show and some cuts the spending will resume just a little slower than the democrats and then there will be another big fight about the debt and we will again have the democrats back in power as the Republicans had their chance. We are in dire need of someone with Newts abilities who is also a “Social Conservative” as well as a “Fiscal Conservative.” Oh, that would be Newt.

The ‘People’ are being stupid mutineers who think the fancy pants looking guy can run the ship better. You know what happens to the ship after that.

The way I see it, your subject video shows Newt’s strength in seeking ways to manage bad situations.

Thank you. However, the super intelligent American people do not want a Statesman, they have made it very clear they want a Snake oil salesman or the whining novice, or Dr. Straitjacket.
Newt understands supply-side economics and we need a lot of that to turn things around. He also knows what to do with terrorists and I think it involves killing them. That’s enough to make me happy right there, but he also has this thing called ‘vision’ and that is very important. I don’t see any of these things in his opponents. Santorum and Romney (my dog is on the roof) don’t talk about a 15% flat tax or repealing Sarbanes-Oxley or Dodd-Frank or scaling back the EPA and I don’t think any of these things will happen with either of them at the helm. We really need Gingrich to navigate a very very serious course correction.
I'd gladly support him if he ends up running as a third-party candidate against Obama and Romney.
What’s this “WE” stuff, speak for yourself. You must be lily white pure to cast such a judgement. You can drown if you want, but I think most of would like to fight to keep the ship afloat.
Sure, he was a paragon of marital virtue. If Romney’s past practice can be held against him, as it should, how does Gingrich get a pass?
