1. Cadillac Escalade This full-size luxury SUV remains the King of Bling, best known for being the ride of choice among hip-hoppers, slam-dunkers and wise guys. Unfortunately, under objective evaluation its appeal is little more than skin deep. Consumer Reports slams the Escalade for its poor braking, handling and fuel economy, and its too-tiny third-row seat. It gets CR's worst marks for low reliability and high ownership costs, and is cited for being a poor value, performing inadequately in accident-avoidance tests and for having the worst fuel economy in its class (at 13/21 mpg city/highway).

Chevrolet Tahoe/GMC Yukon
Essentially the proletariat versions of the Cadillac Escalade, the full-size Tahoe and Yukon SUVs prime virtues are their spacious interiors (at least in the first two rows of seats) and their towing abilities. Consumer Reports was less enamored of their handling and braking prowess and the fact that their third-row seatbacks dont fold flat to fully expand their cargo holds.

About 5 years ago, I was interested in trading my Montanna minivan for a Tahoe.
I thought surely there would be more passenger room in a Tahoe verses a minivan.
There wasn’t. The Tahoe was a big disappointment. The third row seat was a joke.
I didn’t buy it.
I was thinking kind of along the same lines. A vehicle with genuine off-road capabilities is probably not going to drive like a sports car. That’s not to say the vehicles don’t have any shortcomings, but these guys don’t really seem to “get it.”
I’d gladly drive anyone of them if they gave me one for free.
Not sure I want to risk the life with the ‘Dumb runt shoebox’ model however.
The Old BSA's were a pain in the arse and theyed launch you over the bars starting them if you werent carful, but they were a hoot!
Sometimes you just gotta love that stuff.
I love two stokes and I love diesels but they live in separate words.
Now that's funny!
CR doesn’t like cars with a stiff suspension. Well, that leaves out a number of European sports cars. I would much rather read reviews from a motoring magazine than the piffle from CR.
I remember em! Also, the old Triumphs, and the like.
The Smart car was on the list.
Agree 100%
Volt is the Edsel of 2012......hands down.
Inferior to 59 Edsel too!!
Clueless people. My 2011 Rubicon Unlimited corners great, rides smooth, is comfortable to drive (I have a bulging disc that makes it painful normally to sit for long periods), has incredible visibility of the road around you, drove better in the snow than on dry it seems, and damn sure will have wind noise today (80 and sunny here). Not sure how a vehicle that rates as holding its value the best is a “poor overall” value.
I must admit the ram is flimsy body wise, but for light use My Ram truck has served me well for 6 years at $14K.
I can fill it to the hilt with plywood and you dont even know its there.
It powers up a 35° hill just fine, and its just a 6 cylinder.
There were a lot of cars to put on the list of worst. I nominate the smart car, the volt, every modern Jeep product and the cruz.
The BSA Hornet was my sought after bike decades ago. A beast of a one lunger but it jerked my chain.
so did i
Imagine that ... the top 8 are built by companies that were bailed out.
I got a bug for that era of brit bikes
