Omar Sharif, the one we know, was born in Egypt. His real name is Michael Demetri Shalhoub. He's eighty years old. He gave up bridge years ago.

His religion is Islam. He almost lost his Egyptian citizenship because of his affair with Barbra Streisand, a Jew who was a vocal supporter of Israel.

Today he resides mainly in Cairo. He blasted U.S. policy during the Iraqi war......and said Americans are ignorant.
