I just read a college student was convicted of a hate crime because his web cam caught the other student in his dorm room kissing another man one time and then the queer student killed himself by jumping off a bridge - can someone tell me if this is an invasion of privacy and what the hell sort of charge is "bias intimidation?" This sounds like a politically correct witch hunt for an unstable deviant.

This is a different case. Clementi was out of the closet and he wasn't taped.
just read the CIA saying they can see us through our TV’s, so the Govt can take photo’s of us, see us, hear us, spy on us , Google can send trucks round to take photo’s of us , our cars, our houses etc, there there are camera’s on the street, lights, corners, in stores etc.

There was no taping that the Prosecution could come up with, but there’s no invasion of privacy when it’s your own room. Dorm rooms really aren’t the same as your bedroom in your home.
The layout they showed in the trial seemed quite rational for a desk in a dorm room.

Why was this young kid being taken advantaged of by a much older man and why did the school allow for this man to come on campus.
Maybe the school needs suing too as they should not let people onto campus who do not belong.
See we can all point fingers and blame but int he end this kid had mental problems, he was taken advantage of, the school did not stop people on campus and if he wanted privacy then go off campus but don’t expect privacy in a shared room on campus.
