Don’t know about the hate crime stuff, but taping someone in their bedroom without their knowledge is an invasion of privacy. Open-and-shut.

If this were a photograph appearing in a newspaper or a news clip appearing on an Internet video news service, does anyone suppose there would be convictions for a hate crime?

There was no recording apparently.

He purposely set up a hidden camera and invited an audience to come watch the guy have sex.

Thats what happened.

I don’t know if any “hate” was involved or vapid stupidity

I agree. The hate crime is,literally, a “thought crime”. It is absurd on the face of it. It also implies that if he had done it and his roomemate was heterosexual and with his girlfriend, it would have been a lesser crime. That makes the homosexual couple more valuable and more protected under the law.

That is discrimination and unconstitutional.

I would tend to think that you don’t have a great deal of privacy on a dormatory and this is a political statement - after all, homosexual deviants cannot be scorned, ridiculed, or bothered even if it can reasonably be shown to be a mental illness.

hate crime, since when is a crime a love crime.

The hate crime bill has to be one of the most useless bills this country has done.
All it does is make certain people a protected class and of course the left loves to do that .

The man was done for invasion of privacy, that’s it as far as I’m concerned .
The homosexuals who killed himself had mental problems in the first place and like the freeper Bedford said, if this was put into a Newspaper on the TV then the MSM , sorry the lefts propaganda machine would not have had a problem .

If this man had not been a homo the lefts propaganda machine would never had covered it and lets face it since when did a a man killing himself over being caught doing something is national news.

It’s not.

Yet again the lunatic left and the queers jump on this

That's your opinion, just don't call it a legal opinion.

It was his bedroom too. And his young gay roommate was bringing strangers into it.

We all know that if the secret-taping was of a heterosexual football player, it would simply have become a campus joke.

And what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

You have to wonder if he had complained to the Dorm Supervisor about his roomate bringing in all manner of sexual partners if they would have ran him through the ringer for being “hateful” as well.

nail on head.

his is not national news unless you are Megyn Kelly or Bob Beckel or Maddow, Ellen etc.

If this had been a normal couple being caught and the man or the woman had killed themselves then the lefts propaganda machine commonly called the MSM would never have even covered this in their local news.

Hate crimes bill makes one lot of people more valuable than another group, and yes again the left puts people into groups instead of looking at people as people.

Also we’re talking about a homosexual, obviously there was some mental problems in the first place.

How many bills and laws have been passed in the last 20 years about homosexuals, bullying etc and how many suicides have been done in those last 20 years?

Compare how many suicides were being done before homosexuality was put out there by the socialists and communists as normal for them and since raising boys as little girls by certain distraught so called mothers?

We’ve tried their way of these laws, we’ve tried their social engineering , obviously is has not worked and we’re doing the definition of insanity right now by keep doing the same things and expecting a different results.

Just like bozo the clown who now thinks he’s a stand up comedian yesterday making fun of those who say drill for our own oil whilst saying we need to spend more money on failed green policies

Please, explain the legal opinion in regards to privacy in a college dormatory because the student convicted shared the room and it would seem the prosecution is overreaching for a purely political purpose.

good point.

He set up a camera in his own room which was being used by his homosexual room mate to have sex, Yuck.

Did he complain , if he had would anyone have done anything and would he be classed as a hate monger, ah the favourite words of the left?

Indeed, they shared a room, there is no privacy and to think that this admin has forced normal marines and soldiers and sailors etc to now share rooms with homosexuals.

Heck they’;re already stressed and having served then I know there is no privacy in a shared room.

Oh and this has told us one thing and that is there should be no openly serving homosexuals in the military but don’t expect the phony Hannity to discuss any social issues or even mention homosexuality or their agenda

"It is my room also" is not a defense to the charge of invasion of privacy. That's just the way it is. If you don't believe me, pay a lawyer for his opinion.

If this guy was a militant homosexual, pushing the homo-agenda, why did he commit suicide over being outed in such a public way?

If this is the case I'm thinking of, the individual being taped was in the closet. The fact that he killed himself after being outed does not help The LeftTM's case that homosexuality is "normal". And I agree that the act of taping him making out with another dude is an invasion of privacy, but it's no more than that.
