WaPo Mocks 'Game Change' Ratings: Beat by 'Pawn Stars' Rerun (Egg meet face, face meet egg)
Breitbart ^ | 3-14-2012 | John Nolte

There are over 300 million people in America. Barack Obama attracted nearly 70 million votes in 2008. HBO has almost 30 million subscribers. And yet...

Less than 10% of those subscribers bothered to tune into one of the most hyped movies in the history of television. Glitzy, glamorous premieres, all kinds of free publicity through the cable news outlets, controversy galore, and yet "Pawn Stars" kicked its ass.

Washington Post:

One massive marketing and GOP-undies-bunching campaign later, the unveiling of HBO’s Sarah Palin flick, “Game Change,” attracted 2.123 million viewers Saturday night at 9. HBO says “Game Change” brought in the biggest original-movie opening crowd in about eight years.

To put the audience in perspective, that’s slightly fewer people than sat down the next afternoon at 2 to watch a rerun episode of History’s “Pawn Stars” (2.129 million viewers).

Over the course of the weekend, multiple telecasts of “Game Change” — which chronicles the decision of Republican Sen. John McCain’s campaign to campaign with the little-known Alaskan governor as his presidential running mate — averaged a cumulative 3.6 million viewers. That’s slightly more than half the number of people who watched an original episode of History’s “Pawn Stars” last Monday night at 10.

What’s the point of “Game Change”?

Sarah Palin is available to interview.

Her real campaign is shown in a real movie out now:
“The Undefeated”.

So why watch a pretend Sarah Palin make-believe in a clearly biased fake?

Pawn Stars is great! I’ve been to the shop a few times for jewelry and met Rick. Would love to meet the Old Man!

He's not from Vegas but North Carolina born in 1941 and was career Navy before the pawn shop in 1988. I seem to recall reading he had a business deal go bad in Carolina after his Navy career and moved out to Vegas and opened the pawn shop. But yea The Old Man does look like he just walked off a movie set LOL.

Chumlee is a good actor and a good sport. He obviously knows a lot more than he lets on and has made money from it. He has a business partnership with the shop from a business he started up and sold 50% interest to the shop. I liked it when he got the Old Man in the Buick Regal LOL.

Pawn guys must be located in the smartest neighborhood in Vegas!

Funny thing is....it's in a bad part of town that's littered with tacky wedding chapels, bail bondsmen, and other pawn shops. The actual shop is really nondescript from the outside. It would be easy to drive by.

Chumley - "What's the light for?"
