Two sons of US property mogul Donald Trump have come under fire after pictures emerged of them posing with the corpses of African animals during a hunting trip.
Donald Junior and Eric Trump spent a week in the Zimbabwean bush in August 2010, and are pictured standing next to trophy kills of a Cape buffalo, a waterbuck, a leopard, a civet cat, a crocodile and a kudu.

Thank you for your politely written comment.
For my part I have absolutely no understanding of why anyone would ever want to kill an animal as beautiful as a leopard or as intelligent as an elephant.
The blonde girl is his daughter that is rumored to be the one to take over the reins
I can understand the emotional responses that you have, especially when engaged in a flame war, and all of God's creatures are majestic in their own way, but, much like the conservative message of compassion via logic and rational thinking, if you stepped back for a sec and got past the cute factor, you could see the service that is being provided in conservational hunting.
Tie in the fact that I see a lot of wealth envy on an otherwise conservative forum, it's easy to hate on these guys because they can afford to do what many dream of.
Most recently, Trump oversaw the acquisition of the Kluge Winery and Vineyard in Charlottesville, Virginia, resulting in the development of Eric Trump Wine Manufacturing, LLC.
Alongside his father, Trump is also responsible for the expansion of the Trump National Golf Club portfolio of properties and is involved in all construction, design, membership marketing and daily operations to ensure Trump's brand standards are met. Currently, Trump directly oversees Trump Golf properties in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and California.
Trump is a prominent fixture in business and has appeared as a speaker for international business and real estate conferences, as well as media outlets such as NBC, CNBC, FOX, Fox Business and The New York Post to analyze or comment on economic and development matters affecting the global economy.
As the eldest son of Donald J. Trump, renowned real estate development icon, Donald Trump Jr. is the Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions for The Trump Organization www.trumpintl.com, where he is responsible for expanding the company's real estate interests on a global level. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania.
Donald Jr. began work at The Trump Organization on projects such as the West Side Yards and Trump Place on Riverside Drive. Recently, he has focused on the redevelopment of the old Delmonico Hotel and Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago which was featured on The Apprentice.
Along with his sister Ivanka, he is overseeing the Trump International Hotel and Tower SoHo project.
Hardly a couple of 3rd gen hanger-ons. It does appear that Eric has a bit more to him than Don Jr.
I went to Africa but with absolutely no dreams of killing what I saw. My shooting was with a camera. So be careful where you apply class envy.
And no - I did not say it was ok as long as they’re stupid and ugly. I personally couldn’t do it to any of them but the leopard and elephant stand out to me.
As for the elephants - do you think more killing would solve this problem:
It is estimated that there were once more than 350 species of elephants in the world. Today we only have two of them left the Asian and the Africa species. Both of them are at risk of extinction if more intense efforts to protect them arent in place. Between illegal hunting of them for ivory as well as the destruction of their natural habitat things are simply closing in on them at an alarming rate.
Well, I’m sure he feels like the big white hunter. A veritable Ernest Hemmingway.
Punk.
I recall when they were getting petitions for the trap ban here in Washington state. Some lady was outside the large box hardware store and asked me to sign. I had my 3-year old boy in hand.
I told her that this was a great place to get petitions - she replied “Oh yes, it is very busy.”
“No - I mean it is like a protest against the store.”
“Huh?”
“You know - they sell traps in there to kill animals, like mice and rats and moles.”
“Oh - ha ha. No we aren’t trying to ban THOSE kinds of traps.”
“Why not? What is the difference between some cute furry mouse or rat or some cute muskrat, beaver or mountain lion?”
“Well, that’s just silly...”
The ban on traps DID extend to mole traps for professional exterminators, and my boy ended up with a cute, likable, well-natured rat for a pet a few years later.
Yes there used to be more than 350 species, but most died off during the last ice age, they weren't hunted to extinction. Currently, in South and West Africa, they do have population issues, and a limited number of permits are issued, and these permits ar for selected animals, mostly the oldest ones. Most of the monies go to conservation efforts. So here we have an example of governments contracting out to the highest bidder, mostly evil rich white guys I guess, who perform the task much more efficiently than I'm sure our goverment would. Here's a key conservative tenent; all the monies generated for government conservation efforts are VOLUNTARY (the hunters), not forced via taxation. So here we have a case of these rich "punks" as you called them, volunteering their cash for conservation efforts to better protect the species. And also having a good time.
Like I said Aria, I'm not slamming your animal loving sensibilities, just the disparaging remarks made about the people who have the money and temerity to be able to perform this stewardship duty that helps ensure the elephants existance, however distasteful this task may be to you.
I guess looks can be decieving...
The mega rich can do whatever they want to do. That’s why people want to be rich.
If one has the $$$$$ then one can rent, lease or buy politicians, cops, judges, DAs and heads of other countries, etc. Almost everything is for sale in today’s world. Not only can they do what they want, but get away with it too.
What would Jesus do?
There is something about self made people I totally respect, and something about their offspring who have basically won a game of parental chance and who have it all handed to them on a platter that I disrespect. The country and the tax system need to encourage more incentives for self made people versus having the wealth of the self made handed to their lucky offspring on a platter. For the most part they are often lucky losers.
Killing big cats for sport disgusts me.
Bottom line, its Donald's business and money, he can do what he wants with it, and we don't need the stupid government making tax laws to send EARNED money anywhere because apoliticalone doesn't "respect" the fact that familial wealth is passed down. I'm gonna leave my kids my stuff, and you probably will too.
