***IF OUR REPRODUCTIVE CHOICES ARE DENIED
SO ARE YOURS***
LYSYSTRATA REDUX by Aristophanes?
To: Ruy Dias de Bivar
That's doubtless what they're AIMING for, but Lysistrata asked for women to deny their HUSBANDS. These are sluts, so I figured Clymenestra was a better role model: and since she ended up having her husband *killed* instead of just crossing her legs (which is a better fit to the spirit of "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle) I figured I'd better reference her.
The "remember, don't wriggle" *was* a reference to Lysistrata though, for those whose iron feminine will fails in the test.
Cheers!

The liberal left decided that teaching the classics was wrong, somehow. Latin and Greek are difficult, I suppose.
So they miss a lot of history.
Which is fine with me. History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme.

You know, come to think of it, Ruy, Lysistrata should *ALSO* be telling these women they're doing it wrong.
Lysistrata (echoed by 60's hippies): "Make love not war."
SexStrike sluts: "Make love not ...love?"
(Fighting for peace is like abstinence for promiscuity!)
Cheers!

No, more like Lysystrata in Reverse. The ladies in that play were denying sex to the men they wanted to sway to their position, while these ladies are denying sex to men who already agree with their position.

LYSYSTRATA REDUX by Aristophanes? My attitude would have been: "Fine. Bye. BTW, I'm taking my income and assets with me, and finding somebody more agreeable".
