No matter what happens, there is always someone who’ll claim they knew it would.
RIP, Davy. Thanks for all you did.
Interesting side note: It was Mickey Dolenz mother who invented correction whiteout.
I believe it was Michael Nesmith's mother.
Mickey Dolenz starred in a show called "Circus Boy" in the late 50's. I was flipping through the channels a few months ago and saw the show and said "Wow...the blonde haired kid looks familiar." Sure enough.
No it was Mike Nessmith’s mother who invented white-out, and she sold the formula for 48 million!
Here we come
Walkin’ down the street
We get the funniest looks from
Everyone we meet
Hey! Hey! We’re the Monkees!
Intersting that David Bowie’s real name is David Jones. He didn’t want to be confused as the Monkee’s singer.
My sister just called me to tell me she heard about Davy’s death on the radio! (Where did I come looking for news?!...)
We were “in love” with The Monkees as kids! Watched their t.v. show every Thursday night on the snowy, black-and-white set at our grandmother’s house.
FINALLY, got to see them when we were in our mid-to-late 20s! That was a hoot!!
Thanks for the memories, Davy. Rest in peace...
