LOS ANGELES (CBS) Actress Sean Young is free on bail Monday morning following her arrest at a post-Oscars bash Sunday night.
Young, 52, was placed under citizens arrest following a fight at the Governors Ball just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The Blade Runner Star was booked at the Hollywood police station on misdemeanor battery charges, police said. She posted $20,000 bail around 3 a.m. and was released from custody.
It is unclear what the fight was about. No further details were released.
Young has a history of alcohol abuse and sought treatment in 2008.
TMZ: 6:30 AM PST -- Now we know what allegedly happened. We're told Sean was standing near the entrance of the Governors Ball, taking pictures with friends when security guards realized she didn't have a ticket so they asked her to leave. We're told Sean left but came back shortly thereafter, and when security asked her to leave again, a guard may have placed his hand on her arm when Sean allegedly slapped him. She was then placed under citizen's arrest for battery.6:10 AM PST -- We just got video of Sean leaving the LAPD Hollywood substation, where she blamed her arrest on the Academy's lawyer.1:45 AM PST -- We just spotted Sean Young leaving the police station. TMZ interviewed her at the station. She seems more ditsy than drunk.
That poor gal!
What is it with these Kevin Costner leading ladies?
“willing to surrender and want it bad enough.”
Of course....
ping
I've read than she was so difficult on the set of "Wall Street", that they cut her part down to next to nothing.
For those that missed her in it, she was Gordon Gecko's wife.
The most recent thing I saw of her was in a Jesse Stone tv movie.
Hah! I was thinking the exact same thing!
It’s kind of odd to look at her list on wiki. She’s been in lots of stuff I’ve seen, but I couldn’t tell you which character.
She was nuts during the filming of Dune. She hasn’t changed except for aging.
That’s ironic that you mentioned Whitney Houston since both Sean Young and Whitney Houston were in movies with Kevin Costner.
The Kevin Costner Cosmic Conspiracy?
Sean Young reminds me a lot of a modern day Frances Farmer.
Hope so too...it can’t be easy being 52 when you were a smoking hot babe at 20; not in a town like Hollywood, where the latest teenaged women become sex goddesses and 50 year olds are forgotten.
Time marches on.
But I’ll bet she cleans up good ... she do have them crazy eyes though.
When she got beat out for the role of “Catwomen” in Batman to Michelle Pfeiffer, she went batsh!t crazy so it’s said.
i thought that the only awards she gets near are the Razzies
Wow this is bizarre, I was reading about her rep only last week about that time she was heckling some guy at an awards show and thought she got help. They said she went to rehab but I guess it’s the same old story, they go in and come out and go back to the old habits. She seems to have lost it when she broke up with James Woods. She just flipped out.
