Obama's October Surprise?
February 24, 2012 | Doc Savage

Posted on 02/24/2012 8:42:04 AM PST by Doc Savage

Sometime between today, February 24th and election day, November 6th, the world, as we currently know it, will begin to unravel. The crisis will be real and it will be global in nature. It may start with a pre-emptive attack on Iran by Israel that spreads rapidly with worldwide destruction; or it may begin as $10 a gallon gasoline prices paralyze the U.S. economy; or it may begin with several U.S. states declaring insolvency and the European Union collapsing. But it will happen, and it will be catastrophic. And when it happens Barack Hussein Obama will declare the suspension of the Constitution, the suspension of the national election, and his intention to remain in power as President,... indefinitely.

Who will stop him? Who can stop him? The answer is no one can and no one will. He has already violated the Constitution and not a single voice was raised in opposition. Boehner and the House Republicans are powerless. No one will raise the the possibility of impeachment. And even if they did Harry Reid controls the Senate and would never allow it to be voted on.

The military? No military leader would dare oppose him or attempt a military takeover of the country. The Justice Department? Holder would endorse Obama's takeover. The citizenry? A revolt would be put down hard. Thousands would be killed and imprisoned.

The sad reality is that NO one person or group will be able to stop him. If he's smart enough he will 'manufacture' the crisis behind the scenes. But clearly, the current instability of the U.S. and the world may provide him with exactly the crisis he will need to assume the role of dictator for.......life?

>>...He has already violated the Constitution and not a single voice was raised in opposition...<<

He hasn’t done anything (yet) that can’t be relatively easily repaired by the next administration. Plus - the ugly truth be known - the R’s and D’s leadership in congress are both enjoying the growth in govt. They might pay a little lip service to look good in the news, but that’s about it.

Whatever might be perceived as a constitutional violation has not yet reached the level of forcing Boehner’s or McConnell’s hands yet. So keep your powder dry for now.

I have no doubt that Obama is a threat to the future of this country, but your post is just nonsense

Agreed, but there is one thing that really worries me, and that is the willingness of the American people to panic when tough times come. Just take a look at September 2008, when the banks began to fail. The MSM breathlessly reported "the impending disaster". It was the end of the world as we know it. And Americans have known a pretty good world for many years. So many people looked for a savior, anyone to come in and save their 401's, their savings, their way of life. In pops our Dear Leader and because of fear, millions of Americans were willing to allow a huge government takeover.

While the economy has stunk these past three years under our Dear Leader, I do think it has served to remind many Americans of tougher times and that we lived through it. Tough times demand tough choices.

Please. We heard this same thing about Clinton and why he'd never leave office. You've been around just as long so you must remember those days.

There might be some international crisis with Iran but that's not going to prompt a suspension of the constitution or anything like you suggest. It could cause problems with gas prices but $10/gallon is absurd.

There will be no insolvent states. I looked into debt to GDP ratios of the states last year, the idea is preposterous.

Your assesment of US Military Personnel and the US Citizenry is way off the mark.

The US Military might not rise up against the commander in chief, but they wouldn’t put down those citizens who did.

The number of legally armed US Citizens is over 80 million. If only 1 percent of them rose up, unopposed by the friends and families in the military, the 2nd US revolution would be over in a very short time and there wouldn’t be a lot of dead citizens, just dead politicians and bureaucrats.

The police forces of a few major cities might stand up for a while, but not for too long. They’d be seriously outgunned. (Pistols, shotguns and the occassional AR-15 against .308’s, .30-06’s, etc.) The average gun enthusiast is a way better shot than most cops these days.

More likely the “October surprise” will be ultrasound pictures of Moochelle’s baby

That secret service dude rumor was perfect timing. That'll get the 'oooh, isn't that just soooo cute' and the Camelot II votes.

There are those who say this is just Clinton hatred all over again but the average citizen wasn't afraid of them as we are of Hussein and his thugs. We were able to bring impeachment hearings upon BJ, but there's no way anything will ever get that close to Hussein or anyone in this admin. Just look at Holder just getting patted on the head from the cry baby. How utterly embarrassing that no one in Congress or SCOTUS has any backbone. It's no wonder Putin and other world leaders laughed at us after the last election. Totally embarrassing.

Soros and his pet monkey has done everything to destroy the US and this gas hike may just be the final straw on the camel's back. Everything we buy and use relies on gasoline/oil so there will be price hikes across the board. Nothing will escape this.

People also say elections change things. Well, that was certainly the case in 2008. However, did regaining the House this last time change anything? No. Will any of the GOP presidential candidates IF elected change anything? No. A couple of them might want to change things and may think they could change things but there are far too many powers in place now that a new conservative president's power will be crushed. He'll be a lame duck who will get blamed for all the evils that have already been put in place and the evil doers will use that to gain back the power they SUPPOSEDLY lost in 2012.

Might I suggest your assessment of the American military might be in need of revision?

There seems to be a great divide between the enlisted and those making excuses for and pandering to the likes of Hasan. Which of those two groups give the orders?

So are we to assume all is lost because no one is stupid enough to start shouting and shootin up in the air? You really want them to be painted as kooks and a danger to society like the Preppers on TV?

Anyone who doesn’t know the patriots are ready, willing and able, then you probably not amoung them. Even though there is a lot that nobama pisses us off about, so far he’s mostly just talk and want. The moment he thinks he can shut down elections, will be the time.

German Generals under Hitler were about to do just that

About to and actually doing are two different things. Look how far things had already gone in Germany and the rest of the world. Too many didn't speak up in time then and too many aren't speaking up today.

I myself will espouse that certain orders are unconstitutional and communicate that to as many Soldiers as I can.

Look at what happened to Lakin and all the others who dared ask questions.

Like Congress hasn't tried it's hardest to change the Constitution? Or at least one Supreme publicly stated it's old and outdated? The more that this gets ingrained into the public the less it's relevant and the easier it will be to throw out.

I think the number we are looking for is 23.

The Congress doesn’t matter. we will have a super majority no matter what.

“The law requires all military officers and noncoms to disobey blatantly illegal orders. Beyond that, as a career Navy guy, I can say that a dictator Obama would be on his own re. the military. As for Obama ordering the military to fire on civilians fighting a King Obama, the military wouldn’t.”
*****************************************************
Yes, members of the military required to disobey unlawful orders. Not only that but as part of the oath of office that military officers take when being commissioned includes their swearing “to defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC”.

If Obama would try something like suspending the constitution, he’d find himself in the Quantico brig within hours.

Oh wait.... Obama closed the Quantico brig in December.

Maybe he’ll avoid arrest and, with help from Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department’s FBI, flee to the Saudi embassy for asylum.

I don’t think the kenyan is in danger of losing the election, no matter what the satisfaction level or the polls are. The Republicans will nominate Romney who has NO chance or the Republican establishment will throw the election by undermining the Rerpublican candidate just as McCain zealously undermined the Republican candidate last time. Ringing in a Jeb Bush or a Mitch Daniels at a “brokered” convention is also throwing the election.

Sorry, but you are COMPLETELY off the mark. No military commander is going to go up against Obama. He would still be a legally elected CIC. It wouldn't happen.

As to your claim of 80 million gun enthusiasts................WHO are you going to shoot? What? You and 80 million guys are going to storm the WH to do what? Shoot the President? I don't think so. You're the one that doesn't get it! There would only be an amorphous enemy. So what, you going to go block by block and kill leftists???????? Ridiculous.

The POINT is: NO ONE COULD STOP HIM!!! NO ONE! Not you, not the Congress, not the SC, not the Justice Department. NO ONE!

Wake up! While you've been sleeping Obama has APPOINTED 55 CZARS. That's what the Soviets did. That's how communism works. AND YOU DID NOTHING TO STOP IT! And now you're suddenly going to take him out of power with your 1911?????????????????????? You my friend are the day dreamer.

Nothing may happen, BUT if he wanted to do it there is no power on earth that could stop him. NONE! The media would be ecstatic!! Leftist would be over-joyed! The final destruction of America!!! And the coronation of a Dictator for life!

The citizenry? A revolt would be put down hard. Thousands would be killed and imprisoned.

I won't respond by saying that can't or won't happen. I think it certainly could. I ask you to imagine what would happen to public opinion after thousands of Americans were killed and imprisoned.
