This place gets reviews that range from raves to scowls.
I used to love this place in the early eighties.

I used to get this plate of korean ribs asian bbq beef and bbq fish with rice for like $5

The loco moco was great too.

I was just wondering if anybody else out there had eaten at this dive and what they thought of the place.

Millions of military have been served.

for no more than a buck or two - or zero if the bartender knew you were a tipper.

You gotta love a joint like that.

I just got the bubba deal today. ☺

These arent the sort of enchiladas you are thinking of.
These are more like a huge tostada.

THEMOM’S KICKASS ENCHILADA’S

Ingredients needed:

Corn tortillas
Hamburger meat
Cooking oil
Enchilada Sauce (pick your spice level)
Cheddar Cheese, grated
Lettuce, chopped
Tomato, chopped
Eggs

Fry hamburger meat, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion power. Drain.

Fry corn tortillas in oil until crisp.

Place tortillas in an oven safe dish (I use glass pie plates), cover with hamburger meat. Pour enchilada sauce over hamburger meat (one enchilada uses about ½ to ¾ can). Cover with cheese.

Cook at 350 until cheese is melted.

Here is the secret – right before you take the enchiladas out of the oven, fry an egg. Take enchiladas out of oven, add lettuce and tomato, then place the egg on top.

To start with use one corn tortilla per person – that normally is enough.

Stayed at the Outrigger in summer of 68 on R&R. Wife and I still talk about the Burgers they served at a little Restaurant out front. She thinks it was also called the Outrigger, loooong time ago but remember they put tons of Swiss Cheese on them.

What do you offer? Been there twice and would like to go
back.

That sounds a little bit like Huevos Rancheros. That is good! Still not sure I could get the mister on that one.

Speaking of— fry up some pork chops in a little garlic butter, then dump in some rotel and simmer for a bit— dish over some rice. Yummy and simple. Wonder how an egg would be over that? lol

It is a bit like Huevos Rancheros.
All I know is that when that yolk breaks it binds all the lettuce and tomato with the enchilada sauce and its delicious.

This is actually the way lots of Mexicans make enchiladas.
Not those rolled up soggy things swimming in qeuso.

It’s been years ago, but my husband was on a 103 foot torpedo weapons retriever. It was like mchales navy. All they wore was cutoff dungarees. They fished while waiting for the subs. My husband was one of the few guys who were married, so I always had 10+ guys over for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter... It was fun living there. My oldest son was born at Tripler.

Do they deliver?

Heh. Funny story...Pitcher for the Diamondbacks is from Homer, and they got a pizza delivered from Cascarelli's. I used to go there all the time, and I bet you've been there a few times, if you like pizza & beer.

Back where I was born and raised we put french fries slaw and fied eggs right on top of the meat in panini sandwiches.

Then you mash that in a panini press and toast it.
The yolk mixes in with everything.
Awesome!
