ARLINGTON, Texas - A two-time Teacher of the Year in Arlington is now fighting to keep her job after allegedly telling a Hispanic student to Go back to Mexico. Barnett Junior High School math teacher Shirley Bunn has 24 years of teaching experience. But her career could end with what she called a moment of frustration. Bunn admitted she lost her temper on Sept. 30 while distributing Title 1 forms to her eighth grade students.
According to public documents, a student who had a history of being disruptive repeatedly asked his teacher for a form printed in Spanish by saying, Im Mexican. Im Mexican.
The documents said Bunn tried to tell him that he could get the forms in the office but he continued to argue with her and repeat, Im Mexican.
In response, Bunn blurted out [Then] go back to Mexico.
Here is the full video report:
If you wish to contact the school district board to demand Ms. Bunn's reinstatement, use the following contacts. Be respectful, but be heard:

She should be given a medal.
LIKE
“You’re in the USA and this is US policy.” Should have sufficed.
You must have forgotten to post the controversial comments/sarc
BTW...The HuffPost is trying to "nudge" people into calling AISD AGAINST her. So please do get involved on her behalf, if you agree with me that this was a ridiculous P.C. overreaction on the part of the school to suspend her.
In my day Sister Superior would literally paddle your butt with the “board of education.” Now we fire the teacher if they dare “talk back” to the student.
He was trying to provoke a reaction and got one.
I think he should be sent back to Mexico since he wishes to be Mexican.
She was foolish in this crazy America. She will be unjustly punished. And yet a teacher in Colorado makes her choir sing a worship song to Allah with full support of her soperiors. Up is down. Black is white.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil.

Well I see the problem right away. The DS did not realize he was not in Mexico anymore......... The teacher was actually helping him by telling him where he needed to go to get what he wanted........
Good for her. They should throw that anchor baby back in the river.
Shouldn’t she be given a “Teacher of the Year” award and a promotion?
bump
God would want her to simply zip her lips. let no evil talk come out of your mouths only what is necessary for building up so that others will experience grace from what you say.
It’s terrible that our great country has become infested with law breakers and we can’t even use the law to defend ourselves. Please let’s close the border and start applying our existing laws sensibly. And let this wonderful teacher keep her job!
Get involved, people. Find the Marxist slug who’s trying to fire the teacher and give the SOB hell. Make him persona non grata in the community. Shun him. Sell this turd no food, no gas, no clothing. If you hope to ever take back the country, it starts with cleaning leftists out of your neighborhood.
WOW! I didn't realize that you spoke for God! Previously, I always thought that someone who had the ego and arrogance to speak for God was engaged in a greater sin than almost anything they happened to be criticizing, but you've completely changed my mind (since you speak for God and all).
BTW, O Mouth of the Most Holy, you might want to reprimand that Jesus guy, too. He had a lot to say about standing mute in the presence of wrongs (and he even assaulted a bunch of innocent capitalists ... IN the Temple, no less!!!)...
She is an adult and needs to set the example. He is supposed to be learning from his teacher. Obviously he wanted attention and students will accept negative attention if they can’t get positive attention. But she had a teachable moment she could have made some inroads with him I believe.
