Mitt Romney may have a new constituency to worry about: dogs and dog lovers.
The group Dogs Against Romney held a protest outside the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York on Tuesday afternoon to bring attention to the story of how 25 years ago, Mr. Romney drove from Boston to Canada on vacation with his dog, Seamus, in a carrier strapped to the roof of the family station wagon a tale that political commentators and opponents have seized on it as a window into Mr. Romneys character. About a dozen people stood outside Madison Square Garden with signs reading Mitt is Mean.
And it has also drawn people who wont let go. With almost 2,500 followers on Twitter and 25,000 likes on Facebook, Dogs Against Romney mostly has fun with the issue, posting cute pictures online of dogs wearing bandanas that say I Ride Inside. Members call themselves a super pack, sign messages with woof, and sell T-shirts with the slogans Never forget Crate-Gate and Dogs arent luggage.

I remember when Johnson picked his beagle up by the ears. That was blown out of proportion too.

This was a dumb move on Romney’s part, but I can think of many other things to rag on him about than this.

It's a bit surprising that the NY times carried this story already.
You'd think they'd want Rovemney to win the nomination first, then trumpet this story endlessly through the General Election.
This story could defeat Rovemney if he makes it to Novemeber.

DOGS AGAINST ROMNEY
DOGS AGAINST ROMNEY
We all know the sad story of Seamus, the Romney family Irish Setter who was strapped to the top of the Romney station wagon for at least one 12-hour trip to Canada - and who at least once pooped himself in fear and, after being given an emotion-free hosing down by Mitt Romney, was placed once more atop the car for more terrifying hours on the highway.
The Romney family has said previously that Seamus was given away to Romneys sister after this fateful trip, and lived out the last of his days on a lovely farm. But now new questions emerge. According to Hunter Walker, writing for the Politicker NY, a blog of the New York Observer, Mitt Romney may not have told the whole truth about the scandalous tale. According to a trusted Politicker tipster, Walker says, two of Romneys sons had an off-the-record conversation with reporters in which they revealed that Seamus actually ran away when they reached their destination in Canada. As of this writing, says Walker, the Romney campaign has not responded to multiple requests for comment on this story. What is the truth about Seamus' fate? Did he live out his days on a bucolic farm, as Romney has said? Or was he abandoned somewhere in Canada, alone, to fend for himself?

While I’m no fan of Ron Paul, Snoop Dogg has shown himself to be a lot brighter than Samuel Jackson.
