Wikipedia article

I read his novel No Blade of Grass (1957) previously published in the UK as The Death of Grass (1956) and enjoyed it. However, I thought the 1970 film version of No Blade of Grass was garbage.

The Tripod Trilogy is one of my favorites. Sad day.

The Tripods trilogy was a great series.

It introduced me to the fun of reading and sci-fi.

Read one of his books yrs ago; don’t remember too much about it other than the fact that it (The Little People) was about some one-foot-tall people living in an old Irish castle;
turned out they were Jewish victims of a Nazi experiment.
As seen in the page below (the version I read was hardcover and had no cover), you see the wee-folk look like Leprechauns—with Swastika armbands.
