Didnt score tickets to Bruce Springsteens upcoming Wrecking Ball tour when they went on sale yesterday? You werent alone. Thousands of Boss fans logging onto Ticketmasters website were met with frozen computer screens Friday (Jan. 27) when attempting to purchase tickets a glitch Ticketmaster has blamed on ticket scalpers using high-tech computer programs that generated traffic that was exponentially larger than normal.
Big acts mean big fan interest. Unfortunately this also means that scalpers are out in full force, Ticketmaster said in a statement. Scalpers were using sophisticated computer programs to assault our systems and secure tickets with the sole intention of selling them in the resale market.
Further evidence of the scalper scam comes from the fact that plenty of choice seats were immediately available through Stubhub and other secondary ticketing sites. Stubhub prices for his April 9 gig at New Yorks Madison Square Garden currently start at $143 for nosebleed balcony seats and top out at $8,719 for prime spots on the first level a bit more expensive than the $98 face value they originally went for.
It was a similar situation that inspired U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) to introduce the so-called BOSS Act two years ago, and yesterday he renewed his call for the bill. The BOSS Act would aim to create transparency in the way Ticketmaster and other agencies sold tickets in attempt to avoid similar ordeals in the future.
I totally agree.
Can’t stand the Commie Springsteen and can’t comprehend why people will pay such outrageous sums to see pukes like him.
The ONLY time I’ve enjoyed Springsteen was his performance in the dueling guitars on the Roy Orbison’s “A Black and White Night”, done in the late ‘80s. I watched the video tape of that program so many times! The ladies doing backup were also fantastic, including Bonnie Raitt my favorite (her album/tape “Home Plate” is great).

Not always true. Many time presale seats are inferior to regular sale seats. They get you to pay more for less.
If the idiots attending the concerts would boycott a few that the scalpers bought out, leaving the scalpers in the bag, it might start to solve the problem. The problem isn’t the scalpers, it’s the folks that are willing to be scalped.
Remember this scumbag cheated on his wife and kids also, TWICE. not to mention he is an avowed communist from way back, He should be held up as a poster boy for Not Becoming a Heroin Junkie for the way it has affected his thought process. Everytime you purchase a ticket or song or anything else from the vast majority of the Entertainment industry, you are DIRECTLY SUPPORTING TERRORISTS AND COMMUNISTS WORLDWIDE.
You will recall that "Anonymous" is regularly hacking sites to draw attention to favored issues, and dirsrupting highly-protected sites. Where there is computer security, it can ALWAYS be penetrated when outside input is provided, no matter how "secure" it is supposed to be.
I believe that sentences for those caught disrupting lives of thousands, including ALL FORMS OF VOTE FRAUD, should carry minimum penalties of a Felony Conviction, and MANDATORY prison time.
There's no risk in disruption, even of the Electoral process through Fraud, when sentences are regularly bargained down to a couple thousand dollar fines, and/or, "probation".
Could you provide any links to sources to back that up? I would like to read about the specifics. It would make for an interesting conversation when I see my mother in law because she worships the guy. Thanks.
To do a pun based on a BB King song title, they’re
Paying The Cost To SEE The Boss.
(orig.” Paying the Cost to be the boss”)
What a crock. There are a finite amount of tickets that will all be sold to people who want to hear the guy’s music. For every unhappy who did not get a ticket, there is a happy person who did. There is by definition no net disappointment.
It was in the NEWS a year or so ago, how he was cheating on his wife with a girl in/with the band, which is how he met his current wife at the time, while he was married. You will have to learn to use google, i do not have the time to do your research, I can only tell you the info is easily available.
