Smart Company has been keeping an eye on Australian mining magnate Gina Rinehart, and it predicted last year that she might well end up being the world's richest person someday. If she keeps having weeks like this one, don't count her out. Her wealth doubled from $10 billion to $20 billion, according to the website, thanks to a South Korean company buying a stake in one of her mines.

Not previously familiar with Rinehart, but seems she made her fortune in mining down under.
Curiously, I'm pretty sure I saw her on aisle twelve at Walmart just the other day in Texas digging for Ding Dongs.

Not sure if she’s married or not but I saw her first. You remember that. And nope, nothing wrong with her at all. I’ll wager she has exquisite tastes. Often.

I just came across the Warren story. I guess it’s all relative. But who does Rinehart point to to deny her wealth? Then again, I don’t know her identity politics; maybe she’s an honest Conservative woman for all I know, and makes no bones about her earnings.

Rare earths are what manufacturing nations will pony up for. Zer0 won't let us mine for them, here.

I don't think that $20 billion would entice me to exchange my happy peaceful family life for all the strife that is in her family...

For $20 billion, Laz would prolly hit that.Too bad he isn't allowed to say...then again, those pesky New Near resolutions usually fall to a lot less than $20 billion.
