And with flags flying and bands playing the EPA is marching us back to the Middle Ages where filth and death from disease was the norm.
The wholesalers are freaking out..a month ago there was plenty available.

Great my central unit is 20 years old and uses R-22. I had a shot of 22 added too it last summer. I see a new condensing unit purchase headed my way. Black market foreign produced 22 will hit the streets soon too. With all the issues black market 12 had of course.
I have a half a tank of R-22 I am trying to get rid of. Can I sell it on Craigslist.
It is a fact. Got an email from the boss today saying a jug went up 90$ since Monday- this week!
That is over lasts weeks increase of, I believe it was 50.00$. Price is literally doubling in 7 days for a jug. Gonna hurt.....
Wait a year and make some really big bucks.
At least I have a 25 Lb. *jug* of R22, do all my own central air work.
The new units are R410 snipe, so you have to upgrade the indoor coil too.
Adds about a grand to the cost.
They’ve got dry R22 condensers still available, but if you can’t get the freon..............
If you have an R-22 machine you best chain a doberman to it or the freon will turn up missing one morning.
Worth more than copper.
