When last I wrote about ABCs Greys Anatomy in September 2011, abortion proponents were thrilled that Christina had aborted husband Owens baby.
Grey's AnatomyA recap: Christina (played by Sandra Oh) is a career-oriented resident surgeon who doesnt want kids. Owen (played by Kevin McKidd), also a surgeon, does. The couples clashing belief systems create turmoil when Christina accidentally gets pregnant. But she ultimately gets an abortion with glum but supportive Owen by her side.
Pro-aborts were happy that Christina killed her baby. The ACLU thanked Greys Anatomy for provid[ing] an opening to change the culture. NARAL gave show writers kudos. RH Reality Check thought the episode was a reflection of current attitudes and that ABC execs must have realize[d] that a majority of their viewers think abortion should be safe, legal, and available.Grey's Anatomy
Not so fast.
Owen and Christina dont talk about the abortion afterward and try to awkwardly move on.
But in the January 19 episode Owen snaps. You can skip to :41 in this well-acted, heart-wrenching scene:
You killed our baby. You dont ever forget that! an anguished Owen cries out.
And that, RH Reality Check, is actually the reflection of current attitudes percolating under the surface of millions of relationships in America no matter how much time has passed since the Roe decision. People instinctively know abortion kills a baby.
Not surprisingly, abortion proponents have gone silent on this Greys Anatomy episode.
Grey's AnatomyBut not so critics. The Dishmaster proclaimed show creator Shonda Rhimes (pictured right) writing slump completely resurrected . The show is better than ever. TVLine called this too-real episode one of the best hours of TV.
I give Rhimes, who sits on the board of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, credit for portraying one of the realities of the aftermath of abortion.
Here was a revealing comment by actress Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith on the show. Pompeo sure sounds pro-life. When asked if she thinks the onscreen couple will make it, she said, according to the Huffington Post:
Thats a really tough situation, Pompeo said of Owen and Cristina. I dont see a good end . Realistically, I dont see how a couple could recover from something so damaging.
But, this is Greys Anatomy, she continued with a laugh. Anything can happen. Were not necessarily always in reality here.
What’s the difference between killing your baby to make your life better and making a deal with the devil?
I quit watching when they brought the Lesbians on.
“But she ultimately gets an abortion with glum but supportive Owen by her side.”
I would leave my wife if she murdered our child.
I love how right after he tells her that she killed their baby, it goes to a shot of an adorable baby. No accident there.
“Whats the difference between killing your baby to make your life better and making a deal with the devil?”
Not a whole lot.
That's a very common outcome. Killing a baby almost always kills the relationship that produced the baby.
The scene prior to the argument showed Christina playing with the newly returned one year old at her birthday party. Owen saw the obviously joyful scene and went balistic.
Very moving and showed incredible emotional pain.
I wonder where the ACLU is now?
I have not watched the show or this episode. However, I find it interesting that the show “allowed” the father of the child to express his anger and sadness. If you read any sort of pro-abortion literature or watch any sort of shows that deal with abortion, it always focuses 100% on the woman. It completely abandons the father’s feelings for his child. I’m not saying there aren’t men out there who don’t push their girlfriends towards an abortion.. maybe even threaten them but many men feel a loss that they had no choice in. IMHO.
Fortunately, there are some resources (obviously, not by the pro-abort side)for men too.
Some pregnancy resource centers do offer help to the men with materials or groups.

http://www.lifeissues.org/ (has a great show called “Facing Life Head-On” that deals with many different pro-life subjects).

I share these on your post for anyone who could benefit from these resources.
Thank you, ITTR! I have never heard of them before and I am glad there is some help for the fathers.
My wife watches this dreck, I wouldn’t waste a minute on it
Very welcome!
I have read two stories of men (of celebrity) who admitted they had taken part in the abortions of their children. There may be more but these are the only two that come to mind right now.
One is Steven Tyler and the other is the actor Gary Graham.
Gary Graham’s story:
http://bighollywood.breitbart.com/ggraham/2009/01/27/flashpoint-a-womans-right-to-choose/#more-32250
Tyler’s account:
http://www.lifenews.com/2011/05/04/rocker-steven-tyler-of-aerosmith-haunted-by-girlfriends-abortion/
“Years later, when Tyler married, and he and his wife were expecting their first child, he was still haunted by the abortion: ‘It affected me later. I was afraid. I thought wed give birth to a six-headed cow because of what Id done with other women. The real-life guilt was very traumatic for me. Still hurts’.
The song “Happy Birthday” by Flipsyde is also about abortion from the man’s point of view. Haunting!
As would I.
As would most men.
Abortion is undiluted misandry. It is no coincidence that abortion proponents are invariably denigrating of fatherhood.
That is one of the weirdest things about the stance of abortion proponents:
It effectively tells fathers, "You should be utterly indifferent to whether your pre-born baby daughter or son is killed or not in the first 9 months of your pre-born baby daughter or son's life."
My little brother (A FATHER OF 5!) has told me recently that because we have penises (penii???) we don’t get to have an opinion on the issue.
To me that is just a pro-abort “man” who is too damned cowardly to take a stand on the issue.
Otherwise, what are they teaching med students these days?
