There is NO WAY I will vote for Romney here in Florida. You can check my record here and you will see that I have been emphatically supporting him.
But as I watch this debate tonight, it seems as though he has said and done virtually everything wrong.
Is Santorum the last hope here?
God help us; I wish Ron Paul was not a nut on foreign policy.

Newt needs to lay off the illegal “Grandma” trope.
It’s the young male illegals on the weed whackers and standing in front of Home Depot that people are worried about.

I detest Romney. He’s the only candidate I blast here. I like Newt, always have. Newt or Santorum are the only candidates I would vote for.
I must say Newt put his foot in his mouth on the illegal immigration issue. “Grandmas and Grandpas”? They still came here illegally and have been living a lie all these years.
Mitt had a good retort “Don’t tell me there are 11 million illegal grandmas and grandpas here now!” (or words to that effect.
Newt will save us all.
IMHO this debate will result in Santorum pulling votes from Newt and Romney winning the primary as he also is besting Newt tonight. Clearly Santorum came alive for once and for some reason Newt is looking maybe older, that may be a camera angle issue.
Whoever wins the nomination gets my ultimate vote bc Obama must and will go.

The argument between Newt and Romney about their bank accounts and whatnot made my teeth itch. But Newt got better. I also think Santorum had some very good moments

On what planet? He's never been elected to a nationwide or even national (Senate or Congress) office. Romney was so patently unbelieveable in 2008 that GOP voters actively preferred McCain, even knowing he was nuts, just on the off chance that he might do something right in a mad freak.

Nope, you’re right. Newt is visibly down tonight. He’s just playing out the string now. That’s just the way it is.
It was interesting when Newt looked to Santorum for help when Newt was having trouble with a question.
I will add Santorum beat up Romney very well on Romneycare, still I think the debate is going in this order, Santorum Romney Gingrich Paul.
And frankly Ron Paul is doing well but I can’t put him ahead of Newt.

RIGHT ON. Santorum HAMMERED HIM so hard it was a thing of beauty.
It was so strange seeing Newt ask Santorum for help when he was asked to elaborate on his “attack” on Romney’s taxes or whatever it was.
He looked shaken and asked Rick if he wanted to take it.

I think Newt looks fine. He’s not having as much fun as usually but he’s been attacked mercilessly the last few days.
