I was just listening to Beck on air this morning. He is sarcastically thanking South Carolina for giving us a candidate who has "no way in hell of winning against Obama."
The Hemorrhoid is about to burst.
Look for more Republicans to have nervous breakdowns today.
“We want a real bastard.”
Exactly so, “I will fear no evil for I am the meanest SOB in the valley” as the wall plaque reads.
—When anything trumps reason, it is always disastrous.—
I disagree. I believe that reason has its limitations. I think of logic and emotion as two valid ways of dealing with issues, just as one will choose a hammer over a screwdriver.
I believe the spiritual realm is a third, and much more powerful tool. That said, sometimes people let it override reason when it should not.
And from your comments I guess we can conclude that you do not believe in redemption...forgiveness or taking a man at his word.
I am really glad you are not my judge. MY judge says that when I repented and asked forgiveness...he SEPARATED my sins as far as the east is from the west (PS 103:12) and remember them no more (Heb 8:12). That's what Newt says he has asked for and I see no evidence to doubt him.
Yep...I'm glad I have a different judge. If you were the judge...we would all stand before you and you would say "Hey...remember that disgusting creature you used to be? Well I know you've changed...but that doesn't count. Sorry. You aren't forgiven...you are not pardoned."
Beck is for Santorum.
“No matter that the race is not over, or that Romney or Paul will be better Presidents”
How can you possibly be serious? Romney isn’t even a moderate-—he’s a liberal who instituted socialized healthcare and ran the medical system AND economy of Massachusetts into the ground. He panders to homosexuals, he instituted taxpayer-funded abortion, he is anti-gun. And recently a video came to light in which he says coal plants “kill people.”
Ron Paul is a raving lunatic. There’s no other term for him. He has given sympathetic interviews to Iranian TV. He blames the US for every atrocity committed by Muslim savages. He believes Iran should have nukes, he has taken photos with neo-Nazis, and I believe he even said we should not have entered WW II. He is the candidate of choice of Muslims and Nazis.
To say either of these people would make good presidents is not a sane statement.
When people talk about the spiritual realm they mean the realm of their feelings. Feelings are not Knowledge unless they are based on reason and logic in my opinion. I don’t agree with you that the spiritual realm is a more powerful tool for knowledge. I don’t live that way but I respect others right to do so if they wish.
I have anecdotal experience with Mormons as well. If a thread is on Mormonism, I’m willing to share that experience, after all, it’s fact. But again, that isn’t Mormon bashing, simply stating what experience my family and I had.
Being religious doesn’t mean conservative values. Look at the vast differences in my faith (Lutheran) of those on the conservative side (LCMS, WELS) and those on the liberal side (ELCA).
The Catholic church has similar differences. All churches do. After all, they’re made up of individuals. What I find funny is when some clueless MSM type refers to a body such as the ELCA as the ‘religious right’.
“If you don’t support the person that I’m for, then you’re.......”
It doesn’t matter. I am the center of the universe. The rest of you are just here for my amusement.
Santorum
I dislike all the pushing of product Beck does—Some of his ideas were and still are good—Like the Blaze—and all. But he has become shrill—he is too much in the tank for Israel and stressing his Libertarian ism and pro-Mormon stance. He has vered to the left of center and become more extreme. He needs to re-think some of his ideas. I was a fan—but no more.
—When people talk about the spiritual realm they mean the realm of their feelings.—
That could not be further from the truth, at least in Christianity. We mock the phrase in Star Wars: “Trust your feelings, Luke.”
Not only are they not the same, but I consider the spiritual and “feelings” to be mutually exclusive.
“Isnt Beck pushing Ron Paul?”
NO. And he is not pushing Romney either. I listen to him every day, and it’s Santorum that he is pushing. He doesn’t like Newt, OK. And for the same reasons most of us on FR did not like Newt back when Cain and Perry were fighting for the top spot and Newt and Huntsman were sharing the bottom spot. OK, on FR we prefer Newt over Romney, I get it. But those that dont listen to Beck should not be falsely reporting on who he supports.
He is a person hell bent on making people believe that the sky is falling while simultaneously racking up tens of millions of dollars for himself. Much like the leader of his Church, Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. They constantly talked about the coming Apocalypse while dragging as much money and power over their fellow man to themselves.
Beck is losing his audience for a reason....cuz he’s a moron.

True. Right now, he’s another attractive Pied-Piper like Perot was, and in spite of Rush’s warning at the time, many people followed him right over the cliff.
Right now, the “bad-cop” blow-back he’s getting from Levin, along with the “good-cop” blow-back he’s getting from Rush (re playing with the idea of a third party) are both warnings to him to either help us conservatives take back the Republican Party from the RINOS, or he can expect us to turn the “marginalization” heat up even higher on him.
There are only two VIABLE political parties. The way things are set up by these two parties make it an impossibility for a third party to win due to the electoral college. Beck will eventually see the light, heed the warnings and decide to be a team player, or he will self-destruct and wind up a laughing stock.

Me too. Have had to defend my opinion here, many times, however. :)
"Running Lips", is a good screen name for you.
You wrote: “I wonder why people, who for years thought that Beck was on point about nearly everything he said, now think he’s suddenly so stupid. And why folks, who just a few months ago thought that a Newt candidacy was a bad joke, now see him as the second coming. What’s happened to make Beck so wrong and newt so right? ....We’re in for a disaster if we allow Newt to be our candidate just because he has managed to get off a few good slaps on a couple of reporters in some stupid debate!”
