Sabbatical from FR GOP politics until primary ends (vanity)
Self

Posted on 01/19/2012 7:04:48 AM PST by indianrightwinger

With Perry out of the race, we are stuck between Newt and Romney. There is no way I would ever be able to support Newt given so many of his personality flaws, his past stabbing of conservative champions and his support for national level statist solutions. And, we all know about Romney and Romneycare.

Until now, Newt bashing had a purpose in support of Perry. So, a sabbatical from FR's GOP politics seems like the right thing.

When Georgia primary does take place, I will be voting for Santorum (if he is still on the ballot) or write Perry in.

I know what you mean. The past 6 months have left me completely disgusted with the whole mess.

Perry should have been out 3 states ago.
Worst presidential candidate I ever saw.

..and the “I’m taking my toys and going home” begins.
The only way I would go that route is if we are left with Romney or Paul (or both... scary thought)

I stayed out from Jan 2011 till Oct.

Now the F5 button on my keyboard will likely be broken by April.

That is why I honestly really hate election years.

I don’t feel ‘stuck’. I’m all for Newt! Of the three (crazy uncle RonPaul doesn’t count) Newt has the best chance of beating thugbama.

The exwife thing on abc tonight? Bitterness and payback, but its over a decade old and as an exwife there is a time when you just have to move on. Too bad maryann hasn’t learned that lesson yet, and I predict that this little drama move of her will blow up in her and abc’s face.

I’m not wild about Newt.

But he has a track record of moving the ball down field against government excess when he was in the House of representatives. The contract with America had an impact. Even though the line broke and the limp wristed ran away when they were blamed for the government shut down, they had an impact.

A very rare occurrence that hasn’t happened in my mind since the 1920’s.

This will be the first election where I either do not vote for a presidential candidate or vote third party. I refuse to vote for a RINO candidate.

I’ll vote to help Republicans to take the Senate and retain the house one last time. They better listen or they’ll join the Whigs.

How do we know you’re not a RINO yourself?

There is no way I would ever be able to support Newt given so many of his personality flaws, his past stabbing of conservative champions and his support for national level statist solutions.

I believe Newt has helped Obama and seriously damaged republicans (and conservatives) with his attacks on Romney's investments, his status as a captalist, an investor, and a businessman.

In an effort to damage Romney, Newt has helped the statists and socialists by fueling the fires of hate against free enterprise, capitalism and self reliance. And he has undermined the basic economic tenets of the republican economic platform and the conservative movement.

No matter who ends up as the republican nominee they will now have to cope with Newt's socialistic attacks on free enterprise and capitalism.

Wouldn't it be the height of irony if Newt becomes the republican nominee and has his own words thrown back at him by Obama?

You’ll be back Tonto! I like Perry, but he had a terrible first impression and the Bambino has won the debates.

Pray for America

You are still welcomed, loved, and respected and we sincerely hope that, after a period of reflection and contemplation, you will see that this is no ordinary election and will require all of us to unite in the end underneath the winner regardless of who it is if we are to save this country from the radical and dangerous policies of Barack Obama and his left wing agenda. Don't make it personal, make it about beating Obama and crushing the leftist agenda.
